Nice restaurant in an unassuming location. I was surprised at the vibe and how many people were here during a week day lunch. Music was great. Location and decor was nice gave a very latino vibe. Staff was friendly and service was quick. I was with a group of 4. Menu is a bit small to choose from but we wanted tacos so that?s what we came for. In house ground taco shells are super soft. We tried chicken, beef and fish tacos. Presentation was impeccable. Please note I am not giving a bad review but these are my thoughts. I had high hopes for the food at Chuuk, but unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. The guacamole was excessively salty, requiring a lot of water to wash it down. I also ordered the fish tacos, and after just one bite, I realized they were cold and I even found a hair in my food. I was hesitant to bring it up, but eventually, our waitress came over, and I discreetly let her know about the issue. The restaurant did replace my meal, but by that point, I was already feeling let down. While I appreciated that the replacement tacos were warm, I was surprised that a manager didn't come out to offer an apology. I visited this restaurant because they offer a mostly gluten-free menu that clearly indicates which items are gluten-containing and which are vegetarian or vegan. The food was absolutely amazing! I started with a fried appetizer, served with a black bean puree and queso fresco, and it was so delicious that I almost wanted to lick the plate clean! For my main course, I had the tacos al pastor, which featured a delightful combination of fresh pineapple and cilantro with grilled pork and a spicy red chili sauce. The food was excellent overall. separate frit for maischips, menu is clearly marked with elements that contain wheat (only 1 items in the menu, next to desserts). the staff was very knowledgeable and explained about the phone. almost everything in the menu is gf. all tacos are gf except the fish taco, which is baked and fried. there are also some desserts that are not gf but are prepared in a separate plant. the cocosis is gf! the tortillas are 100% mais, as well as the chips for the guacamole and salsa starters. my man and I split the guac and chips and the road mais starter (highly recommended). Food is not very good. Birria was good, and the corn and chips taste better, the more you eat it funny enough. Place is loud and busy. Many people and loud music play. I was on Saturday night, so did I do it to myself? Not my mood at the end of the day. You have a hard time listening to the people you have come with and/or the server. You wouldn't go back in person. Mediocre food and high prices, but the person I went with would go back and liked it to each of his own. In the end the service was top notch 10/10. I felt very well maintained and the food came in time.
Stumbled upon this place on a little road trip? happy we did! Designed with an airy open minimalist vibe and our server chelsea was incredibly friendly. All the Vegan options hit the spot Escabeche (perfectly pickled vegetables), cassava fries (crispy and seasoned), Rajas tacos were filling?and the churros for the finale were like nothing we?ve had before?I inquired how they make the vegan dulce de leche and it is done with care (only served if it?s the perfect consistency)!
great experience! explained my keliac gluten-free needs and no cross contact experience. server seemed to be aware of me and immediately understand my care and assured I could certainly eat. he confirmed his own friier for the maischips. he checked and confirmed the hot sauce. had the chips and guac and divided 2 species of tacos delicious! I have waited to post safe, and no zöliakie symptome after eating here. I'm back.

The customer service was excellent, but this restaurant is quite pricey! A drink costs $13! We ordered guacamole and chips as an appetizer, along with fish and beef tacos, grilled chicken, and grilled shrimp. The food was delicious, but given the prices, this is more of a place for special occasions. The portions are also quite generous, so be prepared!
