We used to love Ciao and was hoping for an amazing Italian. Social just lacked that friendly, Italian feel. Service lacks warmth and personality. It was quiet enough to take the time to smile at least and engage with the customers. Food is nice enough but cold and not presented brilliantly. Tiramisu had hair in it and rubbish bag left in the hallway as you walked to toilets. One of my little girls banged her head and the bar staff just looked over and carried on laughing and chatting. Ciao used to make the children feel special and that’s why they wanted to eat there! Food is expensive for what it is.
immersed during the visit and loved our visit. the staff is very friendly, eating is excellent, very generous in portions and the awards excellent. cherry above, it happened to be my birthday and if they show them something with their birthday date on but old, they are the discount they get from their bill! will certainly visit again when I am close. Many thanks for such a beautiful birthday meal.
One off visit here during our stay at Shringley Hall. So glad we decided to leave the hotel and eat here. The food was absolutely delicious! Best meal I've had in ages and a lovely atmosphere. Lots of choice for pudding too. I had the home made creme brulee which was wonderful and my husband had the panacotta (also amazing). Highly recommend.
Went for early evening dinner having fortunately booked as it was really busy. Started with king prawns and pate followed by sea bass and chicken, everything cooked to perfection and arrive piping hot. Very good portions and delicious. A pint of ice cold Moretti went down really well. Great meal and good value. Will definitely return.

what a great traditional Italian restaurant! eating is of the highest quality and the staff is very friendly and efficient and the prices are very reasonable. we had a fantastic evening in ciao’s and would recommend it to anyone who loves Italian cuisine. well done!
Our first time here. Felt like an authentic Italian restaurant, good selection on the menu and liked that you can order a smaller main as a starter. Really enjoyed our meals, good quick friendly service. Can recommend it.
