I had a party of 12 meeting me for dinner. One of my guests arrived first and sat at the bar, but was not acknowledged by the bartender. Another couple who arrived after her was welcomed and given menus right away. Once we were all seated, our waiter (Kush) took our drink orders but took a long time to bring them. He forgot some wine samples for my party and I had to ask another waiter to bring one of our drinks that had been sitting on the counter. The service was lacking throughout the night. We sat down at 8:20 and didn't get our food until after 10pm, which was embarrassing since I had invited everyone to celebrate my birthday. We had to speak to a manager to get our food and attention....
The room is nice for atmosphere and listening quality. The food was not bad at all, though pricey for small plates. The cocktails were well prepared.My issue here is the amount of guests per table. You're seated so tightly that you can hardly turn sideways to see the show. If you dine here you will probably be holding your dinner plate while you're eating, especially since food leaves the kitchen and arrives whenever. You may get your appetizer and small plate meal at the same time.Management, please try experiencing a complete dinner show from the view of a guest for the entire evening. Noon jazz brunch! Loved the musicians and the venue and the servers. But, the kitchen was a mess and I had to ask at the bar about getting served. They were out of what we wanted to order. The food arrived promptly once resolved, but with unannounced substitutions like an English muffin (which I despise) in lieu of the promised buttermilk biscuit… things like that. Next time, we’ll just arrive hungry for the music. The musicians were wonderful.
Nice venue, good spot for live entertainment decent selection of drinks, more so if you like wine!. Staff were friendly and attentive keeping the drinks flowing.

I love coming to Philadelphia City Winery. The shows are excellent! The wine and food is great. I love your new menu! The waygu sliders are the BOMB!
As usual, CW-P has a great atmosphere, upgraded food selections and outstanding artist! Goapele was amazing!Overall, City Winery never disappoints!
Always clean and organized. I appreciate staff seating guests as we had an issue with seat confusion which was quickly debunked. Great acoustics.
Forever yours band doing the O’Jays tribute was excellent. The venue was perfect and I hope you have those guys back again soon.
