This Civic Asian Noodle House has moved to the other side of Northbourne Avenue into a larger venue which doesn't have a great ambiance. It's practical however with more tables which are further apart. Normally at an Asian Noodle House (there are now 5 in Canberra) I'd have Roast Duck Rice but their Laksas are extremely good. I had a seafood combination laksa with extra tofu which was very flavoursome and some jasmine tea. The tea for two was a bit stingy. Our food also came out at different times which is not sociable and some diners are left with nothing whilst the others are eating. I've eaten here now a few times recently whilst traveling. They have a wide range of Asian food and I tried a Laos dish tonight with beef and peanut sauce. It was very moreish and I ate more than I would normally, this is not fine dining but the food is consistently good and fresh.Staff are super attentive and as I eat alone they do not hassle and are very friendly. I'll keep coming back as there is a big range and everything is pretty yum and from what I saw others eating I have yet to experience the popular items.Good value, fresh yummy food!
This is a regular joint I go to for my laksa and they never disappoint! They're consistency with regards to flavour and quality never ever changes and your usually served within 5, worst case 10, minutes after ordering. Even their other dishes are great!
Loved the broken rice and pork dish, well seasoned, well balanced and overall a fantastic restaurant, much like its sister shop in Dickson. Overall: a great place for an Asian fix though a bit expensive and often (justifiably) crowded.

Always consistent and fast. If you are looking for the best laksa then this is it! Also good for beef noodle soup. The service is always very quick and food is always consistent. Excellent value for money.

Good food, excellent noodles, great deep fried ice cream! Four of us for dinner. service was good. Laksa was reported as very good. I had duck char qua teow - loved it!
A pleasant atmosphere with good food at reasonable prices. There is excellent variety and the service is very friendly and helpful. It is dine in as well as takeaway.
