We would have given it a 4 but giving it a 2 because when we paid for our food the guy put our change, 3.00, into the tip jar. At the moment I thought it was normal and waited to see what he would do with the next person. . He did give them back their change. So I approached him and told him that he didn’t give me back my change and we wanted our change. He denied it, and I told him that I would not be lying to him that he put our change into the tip jar. He then looked at me open the tip jar and gave back our change. Like what the heck! Other than that the food was a 4. Obviously will not be going back to that place again.
This is hands down my favorite BBQ spot in the area. They offer homemade dishes with generous portions that are delicious and clearly made with care. However, I'm a bit confused about the restaurant's situation. They've been closed more often than open lately. A Facebook update mentioned they were relocating to the lot across the street, but that was at the beginning of April, and now it's the end of May. I really hope they reopen soon because I'm craving their food!
Ok, so I have passed by this little spot hundreds of times. Today I pulled in on my way home. I cant have sugar, but when I asked, the man said no rub, no sugar. Awesome. I got a full rack and a side of collards. Excellent. Ribs are full cut. Huge. Collards are fresh and properly toothsome. Sauce is tangy. Well worth the price and service with a smile and some good jokes. All around great deal.
I just drove to your restaurant to pick up some food at 8:53 PM. Your hours say you close at 10 PM, but when I arrived, you were already packing up and closed. The food is amazing, but I've noticed that you often don't stick to the posted hours. I've come by on several different days when you were supposed to be open, and it feels like I’m wasting my gas almost every time.

I love the gigantic racks of ribs that have been slowly smoked . They make their own zesty and tangy barbecue sauce. They also have amazing baked beans and potato salad. And if you like collard greens, they make it amazing with smoked rib meat! They have a lot of different meals for different budgets. Also they have smoked chicken and sausage!

The food is fantastic… when they’re actually open. I just wasted 40 minutes driving there only to find them closed, even though their hours are listed as open until 6 today. This is the third time this has happened. What a disappointment!
Delicious barbecue – truly the best in the area. The collard greens are out of this world! I make it a point to enjoy a solid meal here at least once a week for dinner. Food: 5, Service: 5, Atmosphere: 5.

I haven't driven by a bbq that's smell has made me like a cartoon character, floating toward the smell, since living in Texas. Very well priced and tasted great.
I ordered the ribs and sausage combo with mac and cheese and greens. It tasted even better than it looked, and it looked fantastic!
