It's been a few years since we last dined at Claim Jumper. We used to love their macaroni and cheese, which is what brought us back; it was once exceptional comfort food. However, when our food arrived, it was clear that the mac and cheese recipe had changed. Upon inquiring, the server confirmed it wasn't the same as before. What they serve now is nowhere near as good as the original.
To make matters worse, we were overcharged for a Pellegrino. We were informed that we wouldn’t be charged for it since the restaurant mistakenly brought two to our table when we ordered just one. We didn’t consume the second Pellegrino, yet we were billed for it.

We received outstanding service from the moment we arrived! Our waitress, Ali, was particularly sweet and very engaging with our group. When one of our party members had an unexpected reaction to shellfish in their meal, Ali demonstrated remarkable care and concern, ensuring we were well taken care of. The manager, Clayton, was also exceptional. He came by to check on the situation and impressed us with his professionalism and respect—it's been a long time since I've encountered such a capable manager, especially at such a young age. I highly recommend this Costa Mesa location. They truly prioritize their guests’ well-being and will ensure you have a fantastic experience.
We came in for Thanksgiving dinner and it was a little bit rowdy but we were seated right away with our reservation. The food was excellent. The tri-tip was perfect. The most memorable part of the dinner was our server. I forgot her name but she wore turkey earrings. She was so sweet and very kind to my dad. He said the pumpkin cheese cake pie was so delicious he wanted it to be his death bed meal. She then made my dad's night by reappearing with another slice. When you make my dad that happy i will never forget you. Thank you for a very memorable dinner and I hope you got to enjoy it with your kids afterwards! Kudos to Claim Jumper for hiring people of value.
We eat dinner here prior to seeing a musical production at Segerstrom performing arts Center. The service was incredibly fast and the food was delicious. We ordered a salmon and top sirloin. We eat at the bar since it was immediately available and we were in a time crunch and the service was outstanding. I definitely recommend it!

I was unaware that some Claim Jumpers remained open. This location was not as well maintained as many of their former restaurants. It has a slightly run down look. The waiter was attentive though though the bus boy who brought our food was rude and curt. The cheeseburger was mediocre as were the sliders.
Food was amazing as always. Our server was a bit weird he had a piece of mistletoe in his hair hanging over his face and acted like he was on something. Messed up several orders, and since we were on a time crunch, we shared food as a couple of our group wouldn't have been able to eat.
I ordered the 2 item combo with tri-tip and baby back ribs. Both good. Creamy coleslaw was to dry. Service was okay but we noticed our server was side tracked visiting with another table of people he knew. All in all not bad. We would return.
Very good service and you get your food really fast. Meat is very tasty and tender. I recommend the chicken pot pie, widow burger and for dessert , the butter cake.

The waitress was lovely and truly fantastic. However, it would be much better if the restaurant eliminated the alcohol and kept the bar TVs on a lower volume.
Everything here is delicious. Great service. Highly recommend. I love the layout of the restaurant.
