Eureka Gus's are wonderful! I miss Flappers Comedy Club. Packing House wine is super helpful! Love Lost Levels Edible Arrangements! There Chef's Academy is super fun. Crepe de Paris is great for both sweet savory. Haven't had a chance to try Nekkter yet; hoping it's as good as the others. The Vintage resale store is lovely; sorry I don't remember what it's called and there's a really good ice cream/coffee place inside too. As a wine bar, it is very good. The selection is very nice.As for food... not so good. The food is very tasty, so the problem is not the chef. The service was slow (they were not busy when we were there) and very unmotivated. I asked for salt pepper (don't understand why it was not on the table to start with), it never showed up.But that is not my biggest issue. The scary problem is that all of their deep fried items are fried in peanut oil and that is NOT mentioned ANYWHERE on their menu. With so many people having allergies to peanuts (my wife being one) this is dangerous. If I hadn't asked, we could have had a real medical emergency. All it takes is one line allergy warning at the bottom...
We had dinner at Gus's Restaurant on Father's Day. My hubby y ordered the he Texas beef brisket with the side of bbq baked beans garlic mashed potatoes while I got the Bbq pulled pork with sides of bbq baked beans Louisiana red beans and rice (a little on the dry side . Oh and we also had the cornbread which was awesome? The waitress, Dillon, said it was on the house. Brisket and pulled pork were very tender and delicious. My hubby at first didn't want be the mashed potatoes coz he doesn't care for garlic but he said it was good ? We are for sure going back again and maybe try their fried chicken or the catfish.
I wanted to try gus' bbq and it wasn't disappointed. with a group of 5 and we could easily split the check-up. I ordered the loaded nachos and it was a very large portion for 1 person. they will go with remnants. it is a small place, so always make sure to make a reservation so that they do not have to wait. inside was comfortable considering that it was a hot day, and parking is easily accessible by road / parking structure. the waitress who supported us was very accommodating and helpful

Guss BBQ in Claremont on 7/3/22 very good BBQ,the babybacks and tri tip and BBQ brisket were very good and well portioned for the price. Didn't care much for the potato salad or baked beans I like mine regular they had so many added extras in the potato salad and the beans it didn't have any flavor. The beans where mixed with black and some were brown. I just like the standard baked beans. Great meat!
Ate at Gus's BBQ in the Packing House. Love the location and vibe. The Seared Steak Salad was okay. Plenty of steak, lettuce and onion ring straws, but hardly anything else in the salad, though there were supposed to be almonds, blue cheese, radishes and such. Very few of these items. Great outdoor space in lovely downtown Claremont!
I love the vintage shop directly opposite the coffee shop, it has so many great vintage choices, and the prices are very good. I was too many vintage places and the prices are exaggerated, in this business they take care of the customers and leave satisfied with their purchase.
so many eat and dessert options all over the street. that is our family favorites meet on the spot to hang, eat, drink and relax, then go for dessert options.
