We returned for a five night stay and had a wonderful time. As ever, the staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much bother which considering it is primarily a restaurant with five rooms was impressive. We had six meals here, one...lunch, four dinners and one platter the night the restaurant was closed. All were just the right size and prepare beautifully by their lovely chef. We enjoyed the quietness and good food and wine, particularly enjoying the D’Anglars Cahors from just up the road which we thought was exceptionally good. This is a beautiful, traditional hotel/restaurant in a tiny village in the middle of nowhere. We were taken as guests for lunch and returned a few days later for supper at which we were entertained by a singer. The food at both meals was wonderful....The ambience, service and friendliness were remarkable. The singing/music evening takes place fortnightly (I think) during the summer season. It’s attended by lots of locals and is great fun. The hotel owner is an accomplished singer and likes to take the microphone from time to time. The three or four-course meal is a remarkably cost-effective Euros per person (excluding drinks). Well worth a detour for a good meal if you are in the area.
We've been in the neighborhood for many years and have eaten here several times in years gone by. Yesterday and today we stayed at the hotel and have eaten here several times. Tonight's dinner was exceptional. The service impeccable and the food exquisite. House made...smoked salmon was wonderful and served beautifully. The cod with foie gras sauce absolutely to die for and the dessert of cooked pineapple on brioche was way too good. The wine selection is also terrific and not overpriced at all. I highly recommend this restaurant and chef Jerome!
Very much as we expected. We had been recommended to come here and we were not disappointed. Service was good, amuse-bouche was an unexpected pleasure. The food was good, Foie gras to start had a supplement but was good. I had the trio of duck...which was ok (also supplement) although I wished I'd had the lamb. Glass of Pineraie set the meal off
Very nice restaurant, especially in summer when you can sit in the very pretty garden. Good choices on the menu, classy restaurant but not ridiculous prices, especially if you go for the plat du jour. Parking is a bit tight in a big car but...adequate. Steps to climb if you eat inside,
What a gem, each course was a work of art and well considered. Good selection of cheeses and local wines. Seasonal and for me spot on, two very enjoyable dinners in a lovely quirky dining room.
We went for lunch. Beautiful setting. Everything else was dreadful. Too much to comment on. One of our group was vegetarian which, for some odd reason, caused untold issues.
The best lunch menu in the area! You dine in a wonderful flower filled terrace, the service is excellent, the food is interesting, superbly presented and excellent value.
Delicious. Beautiful location. Sat outside and enjoyed a fabulous luchtime meal. Friendly welcome, lovely outside terrace with welcome shade and terrific food.
