Unfortunately, I came away very disappointed at Clos des Oliviers... positive points all the same, a very beautiful setting, warm, romantic, with light background music at the start of the aperitifs which was very appreciated. Quality service and team, doing their work with enthusiasm. We were very charmed at the start of our Valentine 's Day meal, until the moment we tasted the dish, the background music was cut off with the arrival of around twenty people standing, drinks in hand near 'a table full of bottles, noisy and especially next to the tables where several couples were eating, (including my table . Around twenty people chattering loudly and watched us eat barely 1 meter from our tab...
Very disappointed with this gustative experience. To begin with, we choose a land board to share. If the quantity is there, the quality is medium. The crusts are impossible to eat so hard. In pork ribs for me and all pork dishes for my spouse. If the ribs are acceptable, the whole pig’s plate is not, and my spouse will leave much of it (which he never does). He decides to finish with a cheese plate. In fact, it is only three lamelles that are served but at 12€ the plate, we expect a little more. We ordered a bottle of red wine in 2018 replaced by a 2019 but sold at the same price. Only a positive note, the service. Smiling and friendly staff.
Nobody since this establishment was bought! Used for many years, we have always been delighted with the two previous owners, but since the last redemption to help! Our last arrival date from one night of this week, the staff has no mask!!! A waiter with a jeans at the bottom of the butt still without a mask come to order us without a good evening, or a smile, or no words elsewhere... just a head hooching forward...?! The dishes are visually unattractive and not frankly famous for tasting. A lamentable service. We live in the Vautes, so we will wait for the establishment to be redeemed again to return, until we go elsewhere.
Came here following the good reviews we had read, what a disappointment! The value for money is clearly not up to par. The meat was not good, and let's not even talk about the quantities, we leave here after a main course and dessert and are hungry. The photo of the “Café Liègeois” dessert speaks for itself. The evening in summer table outside, idyllic decoration for a pleasant dinner. The service is impeccable. I'll come back because it's very good. We eat well in Montpellier, and this restaurant is in my top 10.
