While it has been awhile since i have been here,,,i am shocked at such a high rating!!!! The famous for prime rib trully sucked when i visited this place..and my wife agreed...we over paid for a less than average meal and drinks, to go along with less than friendly service while we were there..and to make matters worse in my opinion,it was recommended by a friend!! In my opinion the service was like they thought i should be happy they were there instead of glad i was giving them my business!!!!!!! Sorry guys but unless the service has turned 1000%..i dont see any way that i.proving the food could help anything!! My opinion is and always has been that great service can make up for not so good...
Been coming here for more than 30 years and every year the food quality and service goes down. It's a big disappointment for a place that at one time was the place to go in the north woods. Sad to say it's just mediocre and I'd rather take the far longer drive to go to Chase Creek Bbq
friends up there stolen and begged how good it was, they were wrong and shaken the entire menu and then prime rib was $35.00 so disappointed, ive came there literally 30 years, as child and adult. the waitress was terrible, my weekend really ruined.
The carpet is incredibly dirty, and it's hard to believe the health department hasn't required them to clean or replace it. This used to be a fantastic restaurant, but now it looks quite neglected and unkempt.

Enjoyed everything for our evening dinner. That includes liver and frogs legs. You read that right. Both were awesome. For the main we also shared a prime rib. Mmm mmm good.
I've dined here, and it was a decent experience. However, the absence of a dessert and potato dish with the dinner was a deal breaker for me.
Right on the snowmobile trail(M-37 staging area). The Walleye and Lake perch are the best anywhere. I highly recommend trying them.
I absolutely love this restaurant and its staff. They offer an excellent selection and the service is outstanding.

The big day and night fish fry is fantastic, and the hamburger salad is amazing!
