Arrived at 12.50pm for lunch, approximately 90-100 pax in the restaurant, ordered drinks at 1.05, ordered food at 1.15, still no drinks, asked if we wanted to order drinks, I said we had already. Drinks arrived 5 mins later, entrees arrived at 1.30, still within reasonable boundaries for a wait time so far but only just.Finished entrees and first round, food was ok. $18 entrees need to be better at that price point though.Waited 20 mins for someone to clear plates and take another drinks order, ended up having to approach someone to make it happen. The waiter tried to offer us dessert menus, nobody seemed to have their own section to service properly, hence the lack of knowledge around where...
Told to be there for 2:30 lunch....didn't get seated approx 2:45 OK I guess when you have maybe up to a 100 plus people....at 3:40 everyone else had food on there tables but us. We were right up the back...maybe they don't go that far. We asked when booking for somewhere we could talk and just as well we did. A singer and a full house meant we needed to be at the back of the bistro to hear one another. The ambience was pleasant (too cold to sit outside and take in the delightful vineyard views), but meals were costly for average fare.Two tender black angus steaks (and I know they are expensive) came with (cold) shoestring fries and a handful of mixed salad greens to be sprinkled from a small jug with balsamic vinegar. As returning diners we decided to have lunch here last Sunday with friends. Firstly the vegetarian options for our friend was good. We didn't have to wait for our food, my husband had the scotch fillet steak, which was cooked to perfection, served with shoestring chips and greens and a red wine jus, all of which he totally demolished!!! A group of 10 friends enjoyed a fabulous Easter Sunday soaking in the beautiful valley views and sipping a good range of wines and beers. The menu is not extensive but every meal was well received by all and a quick turn-around on a very busy day. Enough staff and helpful, polite service. We have enjoyed romantic evenings there with a specialised menu for Valentines Day or just popped in for wine tasting or a long long lunch. It covers all bases. Children friendly and a great place to showcase the region to visitors. A place we would go to at least 4 times a year for a great day out.
As people involved in the wine industry we were looking forward to trying the range of wines at Clyde Park, however to be served up a range of oxidised wines ( was confirmed to us one of the wines was opened 4 days previously) was extremely disappointing. It was our intention to purchase at least 12 bottles and we purchased none! We had lunch here and the platter was underwhelming! We ordered the $32- platter that was cheese meat and veggies, to get no cheese at all, ham and a small piece of terrine, must say the bread was nice. Wouldn't bother returning!
We had a lovely family lunch in a beautiful, scenic setting - overlooking the valley and the vineyards. We shared a few dishes that were nicely prepared and presented - the Saganaki was a favourite and the platter was great for sharing with the excellent Clyde Park Rose'. Staff were friendly and attentive.
Called in and had a late lunch. Nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful surroundings and excellent Pinot. This place was stunning, the views of the green hills in front was a great way to enjoy the sun and delicious wine. We got a platter which was very delicious however could have had few more cheese on it, and also a pizza from their pizza oven and it was amazing.
