We visited on a Thursday evening, for a birthday meal, opted for their 3 course Christmas menu on it's 1st day! .....and it was fantastic!! We all went old school on the starter had a prawn cocktail. There were plenty of prawns, served on a bed of crisp fresh lettuce, with charred bread. Then 2 of us had traditional roast turkey with all the trimmings, 1 of us had beef bourguignon served with creamy mashed potato green beans. The meat was tender full of flavour, the turkey wasn't dry at all, there were plenty of vegetables, extra gravy. My family and I decided to go out for lunch and after noticing this restaurant a few times while driving by, we were excited to give it a try. When we arrived, we decided to sit outside on this beautiful day. However, every table outside had a full, dirty ashtray. When we went inside to order, we were asked if we wanted lunch (it was a Friday). We said yes, but were informed that the kitchen was closed. The restaurant looked dirty and neglected, so we decided not to even have a drink.
I went for lunch and will definitely be coming back for dinner soon. The service was really friendly and fast. The menu is extensive with classic pub food options, including a ploughman's platter. The light snacks can also be enjoyed as starters. I ordered the spring rolls with hoisin dip and for my main, I had the cod and chips. The batter was light and crispy, and the portions were generous. I enjoyed a nice glass of Malbec to accompany my meal.

If you go to their website it say you can check on table availability and that you’ll receive a reply, well don’t wait, because you won’t get a reply. So phone up point this out to them by phone and ask for a table they say fully booked!!! We swing by on the day and time we requested and we’re told which table did we want.lol. We said no thank and spent our money else where. I and many friends will not even think of going there .
I stopped by this charming traditional pub for lunch. The staff was quick and the doom bar beer was a pleasant surprise. I highly suggest trying the ploughman's lunch as I found it to be delicious and beautifully presented. Thank you to the staff, we will definitely be coming back.
A beautiful pub at Christmas. We had the three course Christmas menu and the food was amazing. A proper Christmas dinner, that tasted like it was cooked just for us not mass produced like you can get at this time of year. Would highly recommend

Wonderful food. Ploughmans was insane and chicken with Stilton and mushroom too. Drinks are reasonably priced. Will definitely be returning.
Went here for a meal out and what can I say the food was extremely delicious and well presented the portion sizes are incredible
