If you like broiled and fried this is the place for you. It gets three stars because the service was good and I can't deny that if you like your food this way, you will love it here. And the coconut cheesecake which was homemade. Best part of the dinner. I felt like I was at a steakhouse from the 70s/early 80s that never changed its decor, menu or method of cooking. But the place was packed so why change. All meat is broiled, fish, steaks, everything. If it is not deep fried it is broiled. My mom got a ribeye that she said was cut like a ribeye and tasted good but didn't taste like a ribeye. I got the special, Mahi-mahi, which was broiled. Even the walls and ceilings had the cheap 1970 's wood paneling. Yes...the ceiling too. I have to admit that the restaurant was cleaner than what you would expect with this type of decor. I visited this restaurant today while traveling. I ordered a three piece catfish dinner with green beans, coleslaw, and hush puppies. The fish was evenly seasoned with salt and pepper; the green beans were seasoned, tender, and not drowned in onions. The coleslaw was delicious, I could have eaten a second serving of both sides. I would have preferred for my green beans to be packaged in a styrofoam or plastic cup instead of foil. Regardless of the foil, I enjoyed my entire meal without leaving a crumb uneaten...Overall, the menu prices were reasonable, and I did not have to wait a long time for my food. I will return again soon to order a steak
The service was great and the food was excellent. Everything was hot fresh not too greasy. I was really glad I took the servers recommendation for the crab cake. it was one of the best I've ever had. My husband I went to eat here this evening. He got the calamari it was delicious! He order the broiled chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries he said it was all delicious! I ordered the chicken finger with crinkled fries which was also delicious! I gave this restaurant a 5 star rating mainly because our server was amazing. She was attentive she was kind.
