We live near St Austell, Cornwall and decided to take a trip to Kynance Cove and The Lizard. We enjoyed a lovely walk along the coastal path. When we arrived at the center of The Lizard, we were in search of a restaurant or cafe for lunch. Remembering our positive experience at the Coast Cafe years ago, we decided to give it another try. We were extremely pleased with the prompt service and the delicious meal that exceeded our expectations. We would definitely give it a five-star rating. Excellent job!
Lovely friendly place to try some great food. Had the fabulous seafood chowder or if your into a slice of cake a cuppa. This is the spot. Revisited today after to many months to make sure we didn't imagine this spot. Not going to leave it as long again. Small dog friendly bistro. Easily accessible. Seating inside out loving the Autumnal decorations. Reasonably priced takes cash card. Thank you so much for fuling a stunning coastal walk. Lizard point a short stroll away. Breath taking countryside.
Husband and I stopped in for dinner . We decided on small plates each and to share . The prawns , scallops and chorizo were very good as was the halloumi made GF when asked . I was tempted by the homemade Chocolate fondant and was soooo glad I gave in . It was freshly cooked and was amazing !!! It was served with cream/ice cream and honeycomb and just ooozed chocolatey goodness. If it wasn’t such a drive I’d be there again .
Our experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. The food was not tasty, overpriced, and we didn't even finish half of it. We were so hungry that we forced ourselves to eat a few bites. Not once did a server come to check on us. As a former waitress, I know that checking in with customers during their meal is basic service. We will not be returning to this restaurant. Called in after a stormy walk down to Lizard Point. Were made to feel very welcome by all the lovely staff and then served a tremendous Roast Beef with all the trimmings x 2. A deal offered on dessert’s so had to have a salted caramel Sundae, perfection. In food coma now, if you find yourselves in Lizard do yourselves a favour and call in, outstanding.
The food and service at this restaurant were great. Our family of five enjoyed burgers, fish finger wraps, prawn wrap, all served with chips. The coffee was delicious and the milkshakes were amazing. It's also a great idea to take a walk to Lizard Point to either walk off your meal or work up an appetite before dining.
Lovely relaxed indoor/outdoor dining. Fantastic food and an extensive menu to cater for all tastes. Very well executed and scrupulously delicious !! Fabulous find. Can’t recommend enough. Eat here a couple of years in a row and NEVER been disappointed X. Highly recommend
Lovely cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Staff are efficient and very friendly. The cappuccino was good. Toasted teacake was good quality and my partner's cake was good too. The meals being served looked great! It is licensed too Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Perfect lunchtime treat! We had the excellent mackerel pate lovely flavours of dill and capers with the meaty mackerel and a seafood salad with a great mix of everything. Definitely recommend!
