My dear friend and I meet for lunch at least once a month. We wanted to try something new so we explored what looked popular on her side of town, and we wanted something that neither of us had been to Coasters Brew Pub met all that criteria. The menu is pretty carried and definitely more than the average tavern menu. I had a shrimp basket and upgraded to onion rings. It was ok. The shrimp were tender but I found the breading to be a little too heavy and therefore not quite done in the middle. The cocktail sauce was delicious and spicy. TheOnion rings are the real deal, and tasty. Coleslaw came with the basket as well, and sadly I didn't care for it. It was too dry and didn't have much flavor...
Standard gastro-menu, but a standard menu done very well. French fries are in my top 2 in the Portland area, so don't bother ordering tots, the fries are where it's at. A decent beer and cider list, there's always a great PDX standout on the list so I know my craving for a fresh, hearty PNW IPA will be satisfied. Lastly, wonderful, polite staff keep the ambience positive and light, they treat customers respectfully and professionally while delivering a smile. When I want a hearty meal to accompany a pint of tasty PNW brew, Coasters is always on my list.
Great food, drinks, prices and service! Robert was our patient server for our party of 6 and helped the birthday celebration to be a hit. We had a very important dietary accommodation need and the chef nailed it! Small place and they fill up quickly but worth the wait!!!Food: 5/5
I absolutely love Coasters! Dining here is always a pleasure. Their rib night is top-notch—if I'm not mistaken, it's on Sundays starting at 5:00 PM. Great food at a great price. Been a resident of the area for years and this is my first visit here. Had the fish tacos and was very satisfied with the meal. Service was excellent. A little loud inside when crowded, but that won't keep me from returning.Food: 5/5
Service is good, food is GREAT. Although I can say more often that some of the waiting staff do not want to be there. But I get it to suck work and service staff are treated dreadfully so I can't knock it for it. A good place to eat and one of my top 3!
We passed by the restaurant and were impressed by how busy it was, even with the help of Google Maps. The waitstaff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, and we were seated promptly. I would definitely return. Next time, I plan to use my Groupon!

I absolutely love their food! They have a wonderful outdoor dining area. The service is excellent, and the drinks are fantastic as well. It's a great spot for both lunch and dinner.
