If you're a fan of mussels, this place is definitely worth a visit! They offer an extensive selection of mussel pots, and it's even more fun to go with friends and sample the different flavors available. The portion sizes are generous, and the broth at the end is so delicious that you could almost sip it straight from the pot (though they do provide bread for dipping). The Merguez (with harissa and lamb) was tasty, but I was surprised that it wasn't as spicy as I expected. Among the three we ordered, the Brew-ha-ha was probably my favorite. The smoked salmon appetizer was also excellent and made for a nice start to our seafood meal. Next time, I’d like to try the steak; it looked incredible...
The food was quite delicious! I ordered the Steak au Poivre, while my husband, who is somewhat picky, opted for a sausage plate with mashed potatoes. The pepper sauce was fantastic! Although the steak was a bit greasier than I usually like, it was truly authentic Belgian style and cooked to perfection. I was a bit let down by the fries, but I admit I can be extra particular since I make my own Belgian-style fries at home. They were just okay, but still decent. My son enjoyed the pretzel immensely. The beer selection was amazing! I was just a bit disappointed that they were out of Duvel at the time. The service was excellent, and their patio is lovely!
I've visited this restaurant three times since it opened. The first experience was fantastic, but the last two were disappointing. I won't be returning. It took 20 minutes just to find out they were out of the beer I ordered, and there were only two other tables on the patio. Overall, it took 1.5 hours to receive one beer, a serving of fries (which tasted like they were cooked the day before), and to settle the bill. There was no apology or any notable service; the only thing available was a beer menu full of $15 options that they didn't have in stock anyway.
This charming restaurant is nestled in a lovely, protected area of Occoquan. The outdoor seating area is fantastic, offering plenty of shade. The food was delicious and uniquely prepared. I tried the mussels with sausage and potatoes, which were presented in a pot alongside some fries. The menu features a nice variety of Belgian beers, though they were out of a few options. It would be great if they offered some on tap rather than just in cans or bottles. Overall, I plan to return. Food: 4/5.

If you are in Occoquan, you must eat at this quaint Belgian bistro! Delightful place...the French onion soup and the salads were wonderful. The mussels bowl was perfectly done and outstanding. We visited the restaurant for dinner at 5:30 in the afternoon with a group of three. We were seated promptly on the terrace outside. It's worth mentioning that those who are easily bothered by bugs should be aware.
The service at this restaurant is poor. This is my second visit and food kept falling out of my mouth. Half of my dumplings were not fully cooked and I had to spit out three of them.
We were disappointed with our meal today. It lacked flavor and left us feeling dissatisfied. Hopefully, future visits will be more enjoyable.
