The Cockhaven Arms offers a delightful atmosphere with a variety of seating options. You can enjoy the lively buzz near the bar or choose a quieter spot if you prefer. The food is fantastic, and we enjoyed every meal there, especially the breakfasts—they were truly delicious. The staff is exceptional—very friendly and accommodating. Our room was just right in size and conveniently located on the ground floor, which was ideal since I have difficulty with stairs. It was lovely and clean, and the entire establishment is well-maintained. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend a visit. We look forward to returning in the near future. I just had lunch at this restaurant, and I was really impressed by the bar snacks—they were both delicious and affordably priced. I ordered liver and onions, which came in a rich gravy with fantastic mashed potatoes. My wife had the scampi with salad, and it was beautifully presented. We also treated ourselves to two delightful desserts to round off our meal. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere is lovely for lunch.

From the excellent communication and smooth booking and check-in process, to the warm welcome, everything was superb. Our room was very comfortable, offering a lovely view of the Teign estuary. I truly don't get how this restaurant has received such positive reviews, unless we just happened to visit on an off day. We waited over an hour between our main course and dessert. The quality of the food was only average at best, and the prices were not justifiable considering what we were served.
