Visited this establishment whilst staying in Peebles for a few days. Arrived at approx 12.30, only one other customer in the place (a warning sign ? . No one acknowledged us but eventually one of the two staff asked us what we would like. Ordered two cakes, a cappuccino and a double espresso. After a while a staff member called out to us to collect our order from the counter. I was surprised that ,at nearly £20 for a couple of cakes and two coffees, they could not bring it to our table. My partner said that her cake was delicious, but mine was disappointing. I chose a Black Forest gateaux slice (yes I know, very 70s ! . I wasn't sitting in at the café so I don't know what plant milk options they have, but there were at least 2 or 3 cakes marked as vegan inside the glass cabinet, and quite a few chocolate bars which didn't include milk or whey. It was quite pricey, about £4 for a bar of chocolate, and £12 for the small box of vegan chocolates with 9 chocolates, but it's local produce and a delicious-sounding variety of flavours. The café was very easy to find, too. Staff seemed friendly from the brief exchange I had.
There was a fantastic range of very tasty cakes and chocolate delights. Lattes very good too. Let down by poor table clearing not just that we had to clear our own table but all the time we were there pots were left on tables for far too long after tables had been vacated. Spoils an otherwise impressive ambience.
After walking around Peebles we felt we needed a snack. We tried one cafe but it was cash only, which we didn't have, so moved on. We accidentally found this place. Gorgeous cake.... and the most amazing hot chocolate ever. A nice comfortable and airy cafe with the most devine cakes. Really worth a visit.
My daughter invited me to this wonderful place. I love cakes and chocolate. It’s my addictionCocoa Black Is like a Paradise to me. Great selection of cakes and delicious chocolates . Very tasty aromatic coffee. Scrumptious. I can highly recommend this place
cafe is beautiful when a bit clinical. large selection of chocolate and cake if not an overwhelming amount of vegan options. had the chili hot chocolate and a vegan klappjack. was okay, but nothing extraordinary.

Exceptional cakes, spoils you for any other coffee and cake experience in Scotland. If only we live nearby.
