Chesney's is a hidden gem of a restaurant. The staff is fantastic and the menu features delicious cafe-style dishes. They always have a generous carvery sandwich, which my partner adores. The quiche is excellent and they offer a variety of hot meals, paninis, sandwiches, scones, and cakes. The coffee is also quite good. However, if you have a sweet tooth, you must try their legendary ginger sponge. It is absolutely amazing - light, flavorful, and perfect with custard. Overall, Chesney's is a classic establishment that offers delicious food and friendly service.
This was truly the worst breakfast I have ever had. The eggs were burned on the bottom, the sausage was extremely cheap, and when we asked for brown sauce, we were given just one tiny sachet each. All of this cost us over 20 pounds for two breakfasts with coffee. I believe for that price, we should have been given at least two sachets. We used to consistently give high ratings to this place, but after this experience, we will not be returning. Once again, we paid over 20 pounds and ended up leaving most of it uneaten. This was shocking.
Younger staff were pleasant however the family and manager who run the cafe were rude. I was denied tap water with my meal and told ‘we only sell bottled water’. I found this ridiculous at a licensed premises which also sells alcohol and it is quite frankly against the law to do this. Food was too hot to eat as been put in the microwave. Also for the price I expected better quality food rather than cheap sausages. Not the same as it used to be I won’t be back.
This is one of the friendliest places to visit. The staff are lovely, the food is excellent, traditonal fayre and a great place to sit and mark my exam papers and do my school work. Corned Beef Hash and Hot Pork Sandwich are superb. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Great little cafe and convenient when shopping at Dragonville. Ordered 2 Yorkshire puddings wraps, one with stuffing and one without. Both delicious and lovely turkey meat inside and gravy £7 each. Quick service
Fantastic place always plenty to eat even early on a morning especially if you don't fancy a breakfast but they also do an amazing breakfast if you do fancy it
