The flavor is good, though I must admit that after undergoing 99 rounds of radiotherapy on my throat (yes, ninety-nine), my taste buds aren’t in the best shape—they're reminiscent of a rough night out in Mogadishu. The latte art here is impressive, and I can’t blame the (often overworked) barista for suppressing a wince when I accepted his offer for a swirl of caramel sauce on top of the beautifully crafted rosette. Having run a coffee shop myself, I remember scowling at customers while my latte art skills were lacking, and I didn’t even know how to make more than one type of drink, no matter what they ordered. "The staff were friendly, and the café had a funky atmosphere with plenty of seating available. They offered a good selection of vegan food and drinks, and I particularly enjoyed the delicious vegan chai latte. However, I was quite disappointed with the vegan dark chocolate brownie; it lacked flavor and at £2.35, I expected something better."

I enjoy my coffee and snack in the simple surroundings of the Coffee#1 in Penarth. The service is prompt and polite with payment easy through the chain's app. There are even books available to browse and games for children. The seating is varied with lounge and easy chairs as well as more upright chairs for any laptop work needed.

Keri and the staff are absolutely wonderful. They are not only kind and friendly people who serve amazing coffee, but they also went out of their way to return my wallet, which they found, by bringing it straight to my house!

A good sign is that it's always busy, and that's because it's imho the best coffee shop in Penarth. Good selection of coffee, fresh fruit juices and homemade cake and biscuits. Staff are always friendly and eager to help.

Very nice, I love the Gingerbread Lattè, a treat for me. I enjoyed a Mozzarella, Tomatoe and Pesto toastie, and the doggies were allowed in too The queue can sometimes be a long wait...
