On a quiet street in Santa Monica, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly and charming Francisco. Unbeknownst to us, he would be our server for the evening. Arriving just thirty minutes before closing, we thought we might be a burden. However, the experience that followed proved otherwise. We were treated like family, enjoying a late dinner in what felt like a beloved grandparent's home at this family-run trattoria. From the simple yet delicious dishes to the impeccable service from Francisco, and even a farewell from the chef and owner themselves, we left feeling like this was a place we would love to return to on multiple occasions.

The restaurant embodies the essence of Walt Disney's quote: "Whatever you do, do it well." I am a pasta enthusiast, and this place serves the best homemade pasta in Los Angeles, surpassing other popular spots in the city. The menu may be small, but every dish is exceptional. One of my favorites is the simple pasta in tomato sauce, executed flawlessly. I appreciate classic dishes prepared to perfection, and this restaurant excels in that regard. ColaPasta is, in my opinion, the ultimate pasta destination in LA, even if it remains undiscovered by many.

This is the one. My search for the best lasagna has finished. It's right here! I've never had something so velvety yet so flavorful at the same time until Colapasta has hit me with their classic lasagna. This is one of the best pasta restaurants in Santa Monica with very cute and minimalistic decor. The only downside is the service is extremely slow that night, so food took around 40 minutes to come out. I will definitely come back though because their pastas are just too good! This cozy pasta restaurant offers wonderful food and service. We arrived right at opening and were seated immediately. Our server gave us excellent recommendations, and we ultimately chose the Lasagna, beet ravioli, and pesto pasta. The standout for us was the browned butter beet ravioli, which was personally served by the chef at our table. This is the top pasta spot we've found in Santa Monica and we highly recommend it. Hot damn that’s good pasta. People hype up pasta all over the west side, and this is uniquely good. I’d take this over anything else in Santa Monica. I absolutely love the atmosphere of this restaurant. The dinnerware and food presentation are fantastic, and the flavors of the dishes are delicious. The service is friendly and attentive. Keep in mind that they don't take reservations, so you may have to wait, but it is definitely worth it.

Excellent pasta! Food quality is top-notch with a rating of 5. The service was good, earning a rating of 4, and the atmosphere was pleasant with a rating of 4 as well.
