Our waitress, Kaitlyn, asked us which sides we wanted without mentioning that some were included while others came with an extra charge. When I questioned an additional fee on our bill, Kaitlyn said she wasn’t aware that there was an extra cost for that side order. She then took our receipt to the manager, who reprinted it to reflect the added charges. We were taken aback that we were being charged for her mistake. When Kaitlyn returned with the revised bill, she said, “Thank you for letting me know, so I can inform customers in the future.” We weren’t there to train her on the menu. Additionally, my friend’s Pinot Grigio was served warm in a large plastic beer cup instead of a proper glass...
I liked Consume before when they just had a few small plates in terms of food, but now that they have a full menu, I LOVE them! The atmosphere is cozy and friendly. They have a wide selection of beers. The service was good. We accidentally went on a trivia night (Wednesday) so it was a lot of fun to stay and participate in that too. The food: we got the grilled chicken sandwich with basil mayo SO GOOD!!!! and my friend got the grilled cheese and tomato soup which was cheesy, hot, and delicious. We’ll definitely be back!
A very nice experience. The drink options were interesting and varied. The food options we also interesting. The only area my wife thought fell short was the pork sandwich. This came out dry and had an odd taste for us. Maybe I should have said something to the server but we didn't. That said the other couple said their was very tasty which I was happy to hear. We will be back.
The service was excellent, and the drinks were enjoyable, but the food left something to be desired. I only tried the southwest chicken wrap, so my experience may not reflect the overall menu. One of my favorite restaurants in all of Illinois. Food is always fire, and the staff is always really friendly. Reed is the best owner out of all the owners, down to earth and can spend many hours talking to him. The Chicken....Is the best I have ever had in my life. I like it all White meat though. Bartender Kyle is cool too
Gastropub tucked away in depths of Lake Zurich. Amazing drink selection. A unique selection of food as well. Check out the menu online. Many of the dishes have a twist like souse Vede. Park in the back.
Street corn fritters are so good!! Great beer list. Lots of vegetarian options! If you sit outside, all of your drinks will be in plastic cups and your food will be in take out boxes. Just FYI.

Tasty mac and cheese and the mushroom sandwich melts in your mouth. Delicious! Nice beer selection. Along with the craft beers they had a Krombacher on tap. We will be back.
