In high school my first girlfriend was German, her mom an excellent cook, so I acquired a taste for authentic German food. When you walk in you will be greeted by the very kind staff. Continental is easily my favorite place in the area to sit down for a German meal , and to do some shopping afterwards for supplies to take home. Prices are competitive, quality and service are outstanding.The deli sandwiches are generously made, and with fresh meats, cheeses, and produce, and all in the right proportions. Hot dishes are also excellent, with the leberkäse and the knackwurst being personal favorites. The family enjoys the schnitzel and the frankfurters. This place has existed for a while, but I can't believe I"m only now trying this out. I ordered the pastrami sandwich and the Reuben sandwich. Both came with a potato salad and the portions were very generous! It seems like this deli is family run. We called in our order and the person who rang up our order was an older man. There is also a sit down restaurant connected to the deli. I have not tried that... The sandwiches were good! They have a lot of meat in the sandwiches and the bread tastes good. I found this place on Yelp and I loved it. I was craving deli style sandwiches and this place was a hit. My kids shared a wiener and potatoes and I got a ham with macaroni salad and hubby got the reuben. We also shopped in the store side of the restaurant and we got chips and peach streusel and apple streusel and cheesecake and I got extra pickles. It's cute and clean and family owned. Wonderful deli. First time here and we ordered the Reuben and a pastrami both on toasted rye. Came with delicious potato salad and pickle. Simply delicious and hit the spot for lunch.All the flavors came through and spicy mustard made every bite even better. I'll come back to grab some goodies from the front. Server was friendly. Customers here are a mix of regulars she knew by name and us newbies. A neighborhood gem.

I will never go back to this restaurant Now that you ask. The schnitzel was like eating cardboard, and the sauerkraut was extremely salty. I was also surprised to see a German restaurant serving Mexican food. As they say maybe they should return to there roots.
