We haven't been to the Continental in a while and we decided to drop in and try their Wednesday menu. We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of food (my mum struggled to finish her dessert after having the soup starter and her main). You get three courses for 18.50chf and it is well worth it. The starter is a choice of soup of the day or salad (the salads were slightly different both days) the main and then dessert. There was breaded chicken escalope with spaghetti and tomato and basil sauce as a main and apple cake for dessert the first day and lasagne followed by brownies on the second. We went to the Continental with a party of 16 guests from Switzerland and the USA for New Year's Eve. Communication with Sandra and Paul for the booking was very easy and accomodating. The food and service were excellent. We had 2 guests with food allergies and Paul took the time to discuss options with them before the dinner and made accomodations accordingly. We had a wonderful time and can only recommend this restaurant! Thank you Paul and Sandra
We come here about once a month. The staff are very friendly and the place nice, modern and airy. For main I had steak and frites which was very good, steak cooked medium rare and the chips had a great flavour with a knob of herb butter. For desert we asked if they could do a cafe glacé which was not on the menu but the chef made us a great one : overall service great, food great well worth a visit if you are nearby…
I came here with my dad and a friend, we nearly always have menu of the day, todays menu was a potato salad starter followed by tortellini carbonara and a strawberry pudding. Food was excellent as always and cheap for Switzerland...
