Had an amazing lunch here yesterday. We ordered the ham and cheese sticks, the BLT, and a French dip. The ham and cheese sticks could had the potential to be comically terrible (so many places deep fry random things that shouldn’t be deep fried), but this was delicious and well done. The BLT tomatoes and lettuce seemed farm fresh. The bacon was crispy (as I prefer on a BLT) and the pickle was perfect. The French dip bread seemed homemade (or at least local). The meat could have been a bit more seasoned on its own, but with the jus, it held up so well. Highly recommend. Also, the vibe is so chill. May not be what all love, but I sure do. The nachos and my lamb sandwich were both excellent. We visited the restaurant on Friday night before Labor Day 2024, and it was quite busy. It was our first time dining there. My only observation is that our server seemed overwhelmed that evening; we felt like we waited a long time between her visits to check on our table. However, she was very pleasant, and it was clear she was juggling multiple tasks, possibly assisting new staff who were still getting up to speed. Despite that, we really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere, and we will likely come back again.
The restaurant has a lively atmosphere, and their happy hour starts early at 2 PM from Monday to Friday. I ordered a club sandwich, which was massive, and the fries were quite tasty. My friend chose the smoky BLT along with some garlicky green beans, and she really hit the jackpot with those green beans—they were delicious! Our server was attentive and provided great service. The only downside was the parking, which was a bit tricky due to the crowded area, but that’s to be expected. I will definitely return!
The food was outstanding, and the service was impressive too. I ordered the Gruyere mushroom Benedict for my main course and chips and salsa as an appetizer. The portion sizes were just right. They also offer a great drink menu featuring signature cocktails. There is indoor seating, as well as options along the sidewalk and a shaded patio near the entrance. I love the continental! It is my go to spot in the entire city! I love the location and the staff is lovely! Inside has a fun feeling to it and there is so much space on the patios for outdoor dinning! The drinks are so good! This time I got an aperol spritz, but you can’t go wrong with any of there drinks! My go to meal is either the turkey dip or the three Chopt, which is their spin on the cob salad! Servings are monstrous! I always take half my meal home!
The location is excellent, nestled among a row of restaurants on Grove. However, parking can be a challenge--there's no dedicated lot, so it's first come, first served on the street, and there's paid parking available in the back. Service was prompt, but the burger I ordered was quite thick and messy, overflowing with sauce. The flavor was decent, but overall, it was nothing particularly memorable.
I have visited this restaurant many times, and the food has never disappointed me. I've never had a bad experience there; the service is outstanding, and the dishes are delicious.
