Since the tragic death of owner David in August, cookies in Barboleusaz seems to be holding its quality high thanks to great chefs like Lars. But sadly the same is not true for the deli in Villars. Our burger was limp and had clear liquid running out of it; the veggie burger was straight from a packet and slapped warmed up in a stale bun. The panini was basically 90% plasticky cheese - inedible. Ouch the quality has dropped. Sad to see. I hope someone can breathe the same kind of passion and passion for quality that the late (and great) David used to.
Leider hat sich dieser Ort seit dem Verschwinden von David stark verändert. Kein Service mehr, alles ist wie bei MacDo, man bestellt am Tresen und nachdem man seine Auswahl auf einem Teller oder in einer Papiertüte oder Box erhalten hat, sowie einem Plastikglas... das ist schlecht für den Anfang. Das Menü hat sich geändert, Sandwiches heiß oder kalt werden in einer Papiertüte serviert, Pizza in einer Box usw... sieht aus wie industrielle Zutaten, Käse ohne Geschmack, Entenwrap mit Mayonnaise... igitt, nie wieder.
Nach einer Empfehlung war es unser erstes Mal, im Cookie Deli zu essen, und es war eine absolut bezaubernde Erfahrung. Wir konnten skifahren und dann essen, als wir wirklich Hunger hatten, weil sie den ganzen Nachmittag servieren, was selten oder gar nicht vorkommt. Die Tatsache, dass es spätnachmittags war und wir immer noch essen konnten, ist schon fantastisch, aber der Service und das Essen waren außergewöhnlich! Ich würde wählen, wieder in Villars Ski zu fahren, nur um die Erfahrung neu zu erleben.
My dad and I both had the pad thai and it was delicious (albeit very spicy but I don't think that's a bad thing!.) I am dairy free and they told me they would be perfectly fine catering with this and that they often catered for gluten free and vegan customers too. I had my pad thai with just tofu whereas my dad had his with shrimp. We both loved our meals. My dad also had an iced coffee and cucumber smoothie which he really enjoyed. Es war so traurig, das Cookie wieder zu besuchen - wo wir in den letzten Jahren mehrmals waren. Leider ist der Besitzer gestorben - und der Ort ist bergab gegangen. Die Qualität des Essens und des Services ist dramatisch gesunken und sie servieren Ihnen mit Papp tellern, Plastikbechern usw., als ob Sie Ihr Essen von einem Straßenstand hätten. Der Ort, der von David begonnen wurde, war so innovativ für Villars - und es tut mir wirklich leid, das zu sehen. Wir werden nicht mehr zurückgehen.
Visited during the Easter holidays for early evening supper. Wonderful welcome, great service and fabulous food. Rich and yummy shakes and smoothies and burgers were excellent. Highly recommend and will definitely revisit.
Some great simple dishes in a small simple cafe type of restaurant. The duck wrap is delicious and the burgers are not only big, but also very good. Like all things in Switzerland prices are a bit stiff. Dynamic ambiance.
Popped in for a quick lunch. The pulled beef burger was great and my wife had the haloumi burger, again, great. Both really tasty and the chips were perfect and crunchy. Well worth a visit. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
