There were 8 of us for dinner on a Friday night at 8p.m.. We made reservations ahead of time, waited a month to get in. Small place in the basement of an old building. Very cool atmosphere, lots of old world charm. We all ordered different things, lasagna, scallopini, fish, linguine with garlic and butter sauce. Everyone enjoyed their meal immensely. They serve garlic bread and caesar salad first, both were very good. I also had the vegetable soup and my husband had the minestrone, both were awesome. The Cook's Shop Restaurant was by far THE BEST place I have ever been to. Everything was so delicious, the waiter we had was very friendly, and the restaurant itself was a great atmosphere to be in. Literally everything we ordered was served to perfection. The salad is great and the mystery dressing makes it even better. I would highly recommend coming her for a romantic evening. Great place to eat if you're in Windsor.
My husband and I have been coming here for a romantic night out since we were young and in love! The food is fresh and amazing, the service is impeccable. It had been a few years since we went to the Cook's Shop for dinner but the good food hasn't changed. Enjoyed the Beef Stroganoff and my wife had a pasta dish. Both were delicious and filling. The food is fresh, delicious and hearty. The service is friendly and courteous. The ambience is rustic, romantic, and cozy. We had the lasagna and meat tortellini with red sauce. Had leftovers to take home for a tasty lunch the next day. We really enjoyed the salad and garlic bread too. Looking forward to going back soon!
I understand why this is one of the most popular restaurants in Windsor. Prices are amazing and food was good. My rainbow trout was perfectly cooked. I love how the coffees are at their original 50Cent price too.
We went for early dinner and it was great. Had lasagna and it was wonderful. Prices are very reasonable and service was fast and friendly. Only weak spot was desert. Not made in house and just average.
