Lots of positives BUT the young kid with the dark messy hair is a detriment to this business. I was there this weekend and he really doesn?t give a dam. My Sprite was not full and was flat, 2 burgers took 30 minutes to cook. I asked for straws and the kid had them in his hand and when I reached for them he dropped them on purpose. I told him the struggle was real and it was way to early for him to have an attitude it was 11:00 opening time. I struggle to support businesses with a bad attitude towards customers who support them. Hence this kid is a detriment and should go back to bed! After a chilly bike ride, we were really hungry for a meal. My husband and I shared the chicken platter and onion rings. The food surpassed our expectations! The chicken was hot and moist, made with fresh ingredients, and the onion rings were crispy and not greasy at all. They were absolutely delicious. Naturally, we had to try their ice cream, and they serve Hershey's ice cream, which was fantastic. We enjoyed it so much that we returned for a second visit before leaving the area. I highly recommend this place!
Cooksburg Cafe is a conveniently located place to grab a quick lunch while enjoying the river and the great PA outdoors. They have hamburgers, wraps , sandwiches and other lunchtime favorites. They also serve a large selection of Hershey Ice cream. There is ample seating covered and under the trees to enjoy your food. The staff is friendly and service is fast. I highly recommend Cooksburg Cafe.
We have been camping in Cook Forest for years. Our entire family loves the cafe.(22this year) We have ice cream once or twice a day. Service is out of this world. The staff are always patient with customers while they decide on their food/flavor of ice cream. They are always polite and thankful for their customers. Thank you for your dedication and hard work! I must say I didn't expect me to get food back from a walkable window that was better than most of the restaurants I had. Everything was perfectly cooked and enjoyed amazing. The next time I have to get ice cream. Seriously, try this place because the food and service are great.
Great cafe, always adding items to please customers, they always are busy so don't expect quick there's cabin, local, river and day park customers. Parking is snug because lot is shared with the canoe rental.
I got the banana foster ice cream and the Cinnabon flavor and it was some of the best ice cream I have ever had. You get your money's worth too! If the line is long, don't worry its well worth the wait.

Good ice cream especially after a day of canoeing/kayaking! beware: area is known as a hotspot for bigfoot sightings.
