This is pub food, make no mistake. Large portions served quickly, piping hot. the beer selection is limited but served cold and with a smile. The burger selection is very good. the decor is alright but with just a little tweaking could be made much friendlier. The service was fast and efficient. Not sure if this is all the time as only one staff working and the place was not busy. Located off the main drag in an old hotel you might want to overlook this little gem. That would be a mistake! Lots of parking and easy to access. I would go definitely eat here again.
Food at this restaurant is excellent. All locally raised beef. Burgers hand made fresh each day. And they are so good!Wings are to die for!! Wednesday is wing nite so a good day to sample these!Take out is availablePrices are comparable to most restaurants in the area. Service very good! Don't let the fact that this restaurant is attached to a tavern deter you as they are well separated! Highly recommend this establishment!
Went to Cooneys for a drink and a bite to eat. The bar had an interesting ambience, interesting crowd.The service was fine and they had a menu from the adjoining restaurant...some of it printed in pencil on lined paper.A few of us had the beef dip. It was really really good; just a bit heavy on the horseradish. I'd go back.
I enjoy going to Cooneys! I can get a beer and a good salad there, but the kicker is the FRICKLES!!! Oh MAN! I could eat my weight in those. Heavenly! Best deep fried pickles I have ever had are the frickles at Cooneys! They also do well at accommodating vegetarians, which is a big deal for me. (Thanks!) Well done.

I frequently dine at this restaurant during lunch hours and am always impressed by the hardworking staff. They consistently have multiple lunch specials available, and I particularly enjoy their delicious fish and chips. Additionally, they have a liquor license so you can enjoy a cold drink with your meal.
DON'T go in through the "pub" entrance - go in through the restaurant entrance (just trust me). The restaurant is tiny but clean and quaint with a nice wooden bar. Several cold beers on tap. Small menu but the waitress suggested the beef dip - it was excellent! A very pleasant dinner while traveling.
Love the food, service & atmosphere at Cooneys! They do not have a huge menu, but everything that they serve is fresh, hot and very good! With the added bonus of a large selection of liquor & beer! Go to Cooneys while in Nipawin, if you desire some great fresh food!
Good variety of food. Some typical bar food, but have awesome frickles (deep fried pickles). Clean, good service. The only drawback to this place is that all the seats are bar level.

The menu is limited, but the food is delicious like bar food. They have excellent soups, burgers, and fish. The onion rings are also highly recommended.
Delicious! We stopped on our drive to the French Rivera and were pleasantly surprised! Food and staff amazing! Clean resteraunt and nice bathrooms.
