The Cooperage is just a short walk from John St Square Light rail station.We have eaten here a few times and had many coffees also over a few years (in fact whenever we are in Sydney).The location, service, food and coffee has always been excellent. It is a little out of the way but worth the effort even if you take the lovely waterfront walk from Darling harbour via the Crown Casino.Take a few minutes to get away from the hustle and relax at The Cooperage for lunch. Highly recommended.
I would give this place 5 stars if it were open on weekends. The coffee is great, the food is good, and the ambiance is beautiful. The salads are fabulous and filling. All the dishes are fresh and interesting. They also offer large frozen meals for takeout. The lasagna bolognese is amazing. I wish they were open on weekends!
The staff are always happy and chatty, the food is delicious and very gourmet for the price. Every week there are new specials to try as well as the consistently good freshly made sandwiches and salads. Nothing is too difficult for these guys, and it's always great to design your own if you feel like adding a few extras.

I would give this place 5 stars if it were open on the weekend. Great coffee, great food, nice neighborhood ambience. Thesalads are fabulous and filling. All the food is so fresh and interesting. They do great frozen entrees for takeaway as well. The lasagna bolognese is amazing.I miss them on the weekend!
The restaurant is located on a quiet street, making for a peaceful dining experience. I have visited twice now and have found the sandwiches to be delicious and made with fresh ingredients. There is a wide variety of bread options to choose from.
A friendly couple operates this fantastic restaurant with a wide selection of fresh food, including many healthy options. The addition of the new barista has really rounded out their great team.
