My husband and I ordered surf and turf. His was churrasca steak and pistachio crusted grouper. Mine was drunken shrimp and pretzel crusted pork chop. First off, food took a long time to come out. When delivered to the table it was barely warm. To make matters worse, our plates were swimming in au jus. Why would you crust something and then destroy it by pouring gravy over it? It made the meat soggy and not appealing at all. Not to mention the guacamole that was served under the shrimp was floating in the au jus. The quality of food was not on point with the price. We were very disappointed and will try something new next time we are in the area. Sadly, we won't be back. I expected more.
Member since the first one opened in Ashburn VA. Been going to this one in Diana since it opened 5 or 6 times a month. For the last 3 months service and food have been horrible. Food comes out late, whiteout your requests and taste not the same... The cooks cannot even make cocktail sauce ketchup and horseradish or wasabi one cream not paste. It made with the same ingredients but without the cream). Twice we have gone with my brother and his wife and they have Served half the table while the others at the table wait 30-40 more minutes to get their food. Huge change and hope they get better management soon!
We have been going to CH for about 4 years now. The atmosphere has always been great, and the wine as well. However, we have been witnessing the food digressing in taste, flavor and freshness. Again, this all depends on the chef/cook and how many times CH has a turnover. Certain foods like the rigatoni remained the same in taste and flavor. However, the Gnocchi was burnt and lost flavor. The waitress excused one of the items on the menu because it was too salty. In order for the CH to keep up with their reputation the food needs to be consistent in flavor and taste. I have faith this is just passing.
I called ahead of time to inform them that my party of 6 was running 19 minutes late. When we arrived we didn't get seated until 45 minutes later and when we were seated it was at two separate tables that sat 4 people at each table, I was really surprised at how unprepared everyone was from the hostess to the waitress that took forever just to bring out table appetizers. Went for a family dinner for my birthday and experienced the worst service ever. So disappointed. Waitress didn't acknowledge that it was my birthday and it was on the table placard, took forever to get our order, we sat for I don't know how long without any food or wine. Heard her on her phone on speaker behind a wall. Over HUGE disappointment.
Our server, David, always remembers us. Popular spot so you should expect some delay in food arriving but the ambiance is very nice. We love the food. The wine is great. The membership is worth the money.
Excellent food. Server was very good. Accommodated our need for a quiet spot. Will definitely come again. Wine very good too. We ordered a bend of Zen and Cab.
