Went for the 'eat all you can ' pizza, they conveniently forgot to tell us that if you don't finish everything you'll get charged full price for everything you ate! So we ended up paying $80 between 2 of us for 2 pizzas. Ridiculous to say the least. A part from this the service was pretty bad, there was a little girl that came chewing her gum in your face and kept on starring at you, which is not very inviting or comfortable.The pizza was mediocre and their customer service is amongst the worst I've witnesses.Needless to say I will not go back and make sure I tell as many people as possible not to go!The woman that served us spoke really bad English and wasn't very friendly.
Simply stated, the pizzas at Core De Roma by Pompeo are sublime. And are priced by length rather than diameter. Four of us demolished three 30 cm long pizzas - every bite was a delight.While we were waiting for the pizzas, we shared a buffalo mozzarella with prosciutto. Magnificent! The combination of salty with creamy was out of this world.If only we could have managed to fit in a dessert. They looked delicious.It's nice to sit at a table with a linen tablecloth and lovely wine glasses (into which we poured our BYO wine), and be served delicious food by friendly wait staff. We all agreed we'd be going back!
I'm a local at this authentic Italian restaurant where you can taste a wide range of real Italian food: from an original breakfast with "bombe", biscotti, cornetti, to something savoury like a proper focaccia or pizzetta. The sourdough bread is a thing to try: forget all that fake bread you can find in Sydney - Pompeo gives you the real deal. We have also tried the gnocchi and the pasta, nothing to be disappointed of. I will keep going to Core de Roma as I enjoy the food and the atmosphere.
At Core de Roma you will fell in love both with the food and the family who run the place. What a gem. Me and my partner had a beautiful lunch and were made feel as if we were back in Rome. The pasta there is hand made as everything else . I cannot recommend this treasure enough. Sublime experience we will be back as soon as we can .. We cannot wait for our next sticker which was offered to us by the owners' s daughter who is such a beautiful little soul. Seriously go and enjoy!!!

Pizzas are available in 30cm/50cm/100cm servings. The choices are plentiful for pizza and pasta which are very traditional recipes. There is also a kids menu with $8-$10 options - the usual cheese pizza, spaghetti bolognaise and fish n chips. This is a family run restaurant who are lovely. I did notice that they were getting a bit flustered as the restaurant starting filling up. Overall a very pleasant dining experience and next time I will try one of the delicious looking donuts
Got "Core De Roma" suggested by a friend, during the weekends, for breakfast (take away as well), they offer a selection of authentic italian pastries.I got a couple of "bombe" to take away, filled with nutella and cream; they looked good when I bought them, and once I got home and tasted em, they tasted so good! just like the authentic ones we make in Southern Italy (where I'm from).I would highly suggest the place and I will definitely go back to have some lunch or dinner.
Real food made by real people. Whether you just want darned good coffee and a dessert or a full meal, this is where you ought to go.I've been multiple times with family, friends and my partner, it suits everyone.The food can take a little while to arrive if they're really busy but who cares, a meal is as much about the company you keep as it is about the food, so enjoy your company if you have to wait a bit. Plus, the wait is worth it.
Dopo aver provato molti ristoranti italiani qui a Sydney posso dire che questo è il migliore dove abbia mangiato, tutti i prodotti sono fatti a mano, dalla pasta all'impasto della pizza, dai cannoli siciliani a i cornetti, bombe ripiene, ciambelle ecc. Che dire posto consigliatissimo e personale simpatico e ospitale, da provare assolutamente!
