We found the food to be of great value and delicious. Our group reserved for 5:30pm, the entertainment started at 6:30 and went to 8:45. Another group starts at 9:00pm. This is a fabulous place to eat and be entertained, family style, without a cover charge. The group that plays after dinner every Friday is an east coastern/Irish type of trio, sometimes four in the group and the youngest is a fiddle player who is 17 years of age. They will get your toes a-tappin and you will leave on a high. It was like visiting a pub on vacation in Ireland or the east coast . Try this place out, you will not be disappointed, but phone ahead reservations as space is limited. The establishment has been there...
Tuesday nights at the Corktown are worth a visit. The atmosphere is like a day in Ireland. Celtic musicians from all over join up for what feels like a kitchen party. You would think that you were transported to a pub in Dubln, Cork, Dingle, Belfast for the night. Tuesday nights are Hamburg and Pint night but I generally have the fish and chips, you can't go wrong with that...the Hamburgs are hand made and good but I just like the fish and chips, bowl of just french fries is good too, the nachos are a big hit too for a late night snack. They pour one of the finest pints of Guinness here on a Tuesday Night as the barkeep on Tuesdays knows her stuff. One of the finest pints you will have this...
We drove a good 90 minutes to get down here for an event. Four people, four dishes, all excellent. The owner, Jim, is gracious and hospitable and does his best to ensure that everyone is looked after. The service was outstanding (other than they took our giant leftovers but did not box) but it was loud (show night) and they may not have heard us. We were so glad to be able to partake in one of the pub's music nights. Great setting for awesome music. We will certainly make the trek again. You should, too.
My buddy and I ended up at Corktown on St Paddy's afternoon. Its been years since I've been in this place and it still has that downeast feel and vibe. Great crowd, great live music and lots of draught beers. Corktown is just one of those neighborhood pubs that will never lose its regulars and always make you feel at home. Want to unwind after a busy work week? Go to the Corktown on Friday after work. You may have to make a reservation, but worth the effort. What's the attraction? The bar band, The East Coast Kitchen Party is non-stop energy and entertaining. The food is pub grub and is good and satisfying. Its always going to be busy, so get there early (before 5:00). My friends and I have been to the kitchen party a few times and always love it. Last night when we arrived all of the tables had been previously reserved. The staff found a way to seat us anyways. Reserve early so you don't miss out!!!! Friday nights at the Cork town are a great way to finish a work week. Good pub food, great music and great service.
We stopped in for a few drinks. They had a band that was playing and they werent to bad. The bartender was good to talk to. The place has a great atmosphere. We have eatten there before and the food was good as well. If your in the area its a good place to go.
Fridays, starting at 6:30 pm they have a live band playing east coast music and it is wonderful! There's no better place I'd rather be on a Friday, tired after a full week of work. The servers are helpful and friendly, and the place feels like family. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
We were here with some friends on April 8th for a fundraiser and had a lot of fun. Not only because of the music but the friendliness of the staff, quality of food and service. We have already planned to return within a couple of weeks!
