Went to get a coconut flat white on Saturday, 19th Nov afternoon. 6 member of staff were on shift. It took 25 minutes to make my drink even then they made it drink In instead of take away. Very unorganised, no leader or 1 person who would have controlled the other team members. Few of them were laughing loud at the back while 1 person (short blonde hair) was making the drinks. (Continuously touching her hair thought). Other people were waiting with me at the same time, joking that they have gone to Brasil to get the coffee beans. We stopped by Costas in King's Walk for our usual caffeine fix, as we are regular Costa customers. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with our experience. When we entered, we should have noticed that most of the customers were still wearing their outdoor coats and hats, indicating that the place was not adequately heated. The cafe was cold, the latte was cold, and even the manager's attitude was cold. This was definitely not up to the standard of service we are used to from The Costa Chain. A cafe should be warm and inviting, providing a comfortable environment to enjoy your coffee. We may have to reconsider our loyalty to Costa in the future.
Visited with my partner on a rainy day. All the staff were very friendly and polite. Fantastic COVID measures and explained very well. Food and drinks were amazing and just what we needed. Cannot fault anything about our visit and would highly recommend. Would definitely visit again if we are ever in the area and definitely would recommend the Belgium chocolate and cream with a coffee shot, absolute heaven in a glass!
We came here as my boyfriend wanted to ivite me for a coffee but a worker at the door told us we cannot come inside together. We tried to explain we need to place an order together but they were quick to see us leave-no interest in custmers shown. The workers seemed too young to understand they are in the shop to sell. Had breakfast there with family during a visit to Gloucester and we were impressed as how over the board the staff went. One of the drinks was slightly later (by like 2mns) and they gave us free cake to compensate! The staff was friendly and the food/drinks represented the brand well. Will definitely go back.
I was on my way from North Wales to the South of England and made a short pit-stop here on my way. There was a friendly young lady behind the counter, who was alone and worked hard, but still was cheerful and smiling. It was enough to cheer you up.
This restaurant is a great option for those staying at a nearby hotel that does not offer breakfast. They have a wide variety of options to choose from and their coffee is always delicious. The seating is comfortable and welcoming.
