This is a Costa franchise and the management need to take a good look at getting their staff to focus on the customers in the cafe. We visited on Saturday morning. Although there were 4 members of staff it took us over twenty minutes to be served. Unfortunately the focus seemed to be on online orders for collection with the cafe customers taking a back seat. It was obvious that the young lady on the till was new to the role but there was no need for one of the other staff to talk to her in the way she did because she missed the cake off our order. Additionally tables were left uncleared because of the chaos behind the counter while the ‘manager’ was sitting at her computer apparently unaware...
on the 12th of February I had to witness the most disturbing thing I have ever seen in a coffee shop. i come to this shop at least once or twice a week so to see what I seen that day has complete changed my mind on the store and I definitely will not be returning until things get sorted! there was just one girl on her own you could see she was so stressed as she had a queue to the door plus Deliveroo and uber eats orders. I witnessed her being screamed at by other customers because they are doing the 1 per household rule and they did not like that, what i cant seem to get out of my head is to why the manager CONOR is only having one staff member on all day by herself in such busy conditions.
This week my husband and I have unfortunately witnessed the result of a poorly managed Costa store. Yesterday, I among other customers had to reassure the poor girl who was working as she was very upset after a male customer shouted at her regarding Covid restrictions. She even excused herself after the event to request help, however no one showed up. One would like the think that if an employee is clearly distressed (especially during these times) and in need of support, the management would provide it. Clear example of corporate companies prioritising profit over the welfare of employees. Will NOT be visiting this store again.
A Costa is a Costa. I don't expect exceptional service, but I still feel that they could make more of an effort to be friendly and accommodating towards customers. Spending £8.20 on two coolers, one would expect to enjoy the drink. I kindly asked for an extra pump of syrup (which would cost them very little to do) and was told that they would have to blend it again and I would have to pay for it. I have had these drinks before and they used to be creamy and full of flavor (mint choc chip), but what we ended up with was a diluted mint ice sludge with chocolate chips, which was a waste of money.

I have been a regular here for a very long time and recently since the new manager Conor took over it has been awful. He is rude and obnoxious, serves customers while wearing airpods and talking on his mobile phone. Has told me and others to wait while he finishes up gossiping instead of handling his customers in store, never gets the drinks right and they are always burnt. Absolutely disgusting. Conor needs to learn customer service and to put his phone down for five minutes.
I came today on my way to work for a drink. But i can see the managers need to get their act together! During this promotion they have only one staff member working who has a que leaving the door! I had only 3 people before me on their own but it still took 20 minuites! This is not the poor womans fault though, as she is doing her best. But she should not be on her own in such busy times!
I would like to say when I visited this costa today the male that served me was very professional and polite he gave a fantastic customer service and was very welcoming the coffee and food was lovely and very refreshing honestly a really well mannered store and will definitely be going back fabulous service!!
This restaurant is perfect for a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The staff genuinely care about getting to know you, and I must give a special mention to Sophia and Megan for their excellent service.

Was very nice to go in and have a nice coffee today. Got new staff but was very good. She had someone training her who is very good at her job. 5 star well done
I went to this restaurant on Christmas Eve and received very helpful service from all of the staff. They were hardworking and kind. Excellent job!
