In search of a classic American breakfast, we decided to stop by Countrie Eatery, situated by the shores of Silver Lake. I ordered the Sunrise, which includes an egg, bacon, sausage, scrapple, and your choice of either French toast or a pancake. Being from Oregon, I had heard about scrapple but had never tried it before. Our waitress was surprised that we had never tasted it since it's a local favorite not typically found in the Northwest. Nevertheless, it was a delightful addition to our meal, offering a fantastic mix of meaty, salty, and crunchy flavors. We stopped for a late lunch during our travels and enjoyed some great dishes. The highlights were the fried tomatoes and their signature muffin, which resembles a spice cake packed with raisins and nuts. However, I had to deduct a star because we ordered our breakfast potatoes well done, but they arrived barely cooked and definitely not crispy. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to request a fix, so we just made do. On a positive note, the prices were reasonable, and the staff was very friendly. They promptly cleared the tables around us as customers left. If we ever pass by again, we’ll definitely stop in for more fried tomatoes and those delicious muffins!
My coffee pot surprisingly dispensed a fly, which I assumed was just an isolated incident. However, when I received my soup, I noticed something unusual on the underside of the saucer. I couldn't identify what it was. The chocolate silk looked appealing, but unfortunately, it tasted stale. When I attempted to cut into the pie filling, it broke apart in chunks instead of smoothly. On a positive note, the other members of my group enjoyed their meals and had a good experience. However, I don't foresee returning to this restaurant anytime soon.
The restaurant is clean and welcoming. It's was fun watching the water birds taking off and landing on the lake that the restaurant is on. The wait staff was friendly and quick. The food was fine, I was little disappointed when the corned beef hash I order was from a can. The daily muffin was delicious. This restaurant is truly a gem! You can dine while taking in a beautiful view of the lake. The food was outstanding, and the service deserved a five-star rating. The atmosphere also evokes a sense of nostalgia. If you appreciate quality food, excellent service from courteous staff, and a touch of old-school professionalism, then you must visit The Countrie Eatery! And yes, it's spelled with an "ie" for a reason!
Decent breakfast. Not too busy for a Saturday morning at 10 am. I had a pancake and eggs, but the eggs were virtually tasteless. My husband ordered cream-creamed beef and home style potatoes, plus a side of scrapple- delicious! Service is friendly and atmosphere is cozy.
We had the breakfast and it was delicious. The service was great. Definitely a country style place but so good. Would visit again to try the regular food.

Try 'The Little Creek '...an Eggs Benedict dish with crab cakes instead of Canadian bacon. It 's my favorite breakfast!
