Went to this restaurant as it was next to the Ibis Budget Hotel. It was a busy Saturday evening and they didn't appear to have enough staff to cope with the number of diners. We had a long wait. It is a grill type establishment, so no option at all for vegetarians, apart from some sort of pasta side dish. Had to opt for the fish, which was well cooked, but not enough to warrant the price paid. Had a side order of fries, which was OK, and we were given a salad starter and some bread. A glass of house wine was OK and reasonably priced. We decided to eat next door to the Ibis Hotel for obvious reasons. Too tired after driving from Calais. My wife had the duck breast whilst I had the spare ribs. I must say I love spare ribs but only in Belgium and South Africa !! In Europe England they cook them first !?!? Hmmm I and my wife prefer straight from the grill, much tastier! But I must say the service was very good.
We ate here after a long drive up from Northern Italy. Service a bit slow, and restaurant relatively quiet when we were there. Food lovely though, my steak was excellent. Very convenient restaurant for the IBIS hotel and others, served its purpose really well. Not much English spoken which is fine, you are in the middle of France, so give your language skills a go!

You get what you pay for at Courtepaille. Have not been in one since 1986! All seemed very tired but service was neither pretentious nor arrogant and rather friendly. Food was just as expected: good for the price and plenty of choice meat, andouillette, boudin noir.
Of course, the general service and presentation could be better, it is only a matter of work, organisation and professionalism to the one who will read! Now, next to us, we have lunch, the mission is full, we go

we went back for 5th time in a row. this time the meat was hard and not good. we will not go back anymore.
