This charming café is a welcoming haven for coffee lovers, nestled in the heart of Richmond Hill. With its cozy atmosphere, exceptional brews, and friendly staff, it's a paradise for anyone who appreciates a perfect cup of coffee. I am absolutely in love with this restaurant! It's simply wonderful! As a Scandinavian, it reminds me so much of home. The coffee is excellent, and the food is freshly made on-site, bursting with flavor! I highly recommend the Avocado Toast (it has a nice kick to it) and the Breakfast Bagel! The lighting is a bit low, but we chose a table by the window for a brighter experience. We really appreciate the quaint brick walls and the lovely artwork! Plus, there are so many books to enjoy! Please be sure to support this local business during these challenging times!
This place is incredible! The ambiance is wonderful, and I really enjoy the idea of having books available in the coffee shop. You can grab one to read while savoring a delicious Flat White. The sandwiches and scones are exceptional, and the pastries are quite nice as well. I also liked the background music—it had a nostalgic feel and was very varied. A shoutout to the barista too; it’s one of the few places where they still take the time to create beautifully made coffee! This has definitely turned into our favorite spot.
Covernotes offers a beautiful and cozy atmosphere that I truly love. The walls feature a rotating display of classic and contemporary art, which is updated every few weeks. Additionally, there's a vast collection of books available on the shelves. Their tea selection is remarkable, and I chose the Ontario Ice Wine, which was exquisite—I could clearly taste all the different fruits and spices in the blend. The restaurant had a charming and cozy atmosphere, although its limited seating made it feel a bit small. Navigating with a stroller was somewhat cramped, but overall, we had a delightful experience. The drinks were excellent, and the pecan tart was simply scrumptious! After we placed our order, we were given a small pager to notify us when our food was ready. I can’t wait to come back and try it out once the patio seating is finished.

You absolutely shouldn't skip the avocado dish—it’s essential to try! Ample parking is available just behind the café, and they have a ramp for strollers and wheelchairs, ensuring it's accessible for everyone!
The Gatsby Crepe was generously filled with fresh diced tomatoes, spinach, ham, egg, green onions, and cheddar. It was quite sizable and well-prepared! All the ingredients tasted fresh, and the homemade quality really shone through. However, I would have liked a bit more cheddar, as I found it to be somewhat lacking in flavor.
