Joe’s Crab Shack can’t compare! We were originally going to go to Joe’s but then I came across this place. The portions are incredible! It is a lot of food and I think the prices are great! More than one person can feast on a combo! The bar is really good and you don’t get watered down over priced drinks. Menu selection is excellent and everyone should find something they can enjoy. Found this place through google maps and decided to give it a try. Boy I’m I glad I did! Went in on a rainy Sunday night, place was somewhat busy. We were seated right away and our waitress greeted us within 2 minutes of sitting down. We ordered combo a basically a seafood boil for two to three people and another boil made to order. The food is excellent, tastes fresh didn’t have that frozen taste. The portions are big but good for the price. But what puts this place at 5 stars is the customer service, our waitress was very nice and checked up on us seems like it was at all the right times. We will definitely be back and be recommending you to family and friends. ??
Love this place. Honestly, I used to travel to city island from central nj for seafood. Not anymore. It’s not on the water but the vibes, the food and the staff are great. This has become a hidden gem in NJ. I enjoyed everything with the exception of the fried scallops. Those are not as good but the fried shrimp, fried fish, seafood rice, sweet potato fries, garlic noodle, seafood soup and steamed crab legs and shrimp are good. Give it a shot!
Went to this place for dinner on a Saturday night. The place really got a good partly vibe. I tried their popular seafood items. All food were good. I would say better than I expected. Specially, they have good seafood fried rice. The place located on a popular street on main ave and got parking in front and on the street. I would recommend this place if any one has apatite for seafood.
Customer service was nice and fast. The food was delicious. Our server answer all the questions I have about the menu, and was able to describe the level of spicy on the sauces. The spicy island combo sauce is really, at first you don’t feel it in your tongue but then it kicks you and your ears are now burning and itching lol. A most go definitely.
My family, friends and I enjoy this restaurant. The service is friendly and has never been a problem. The food is delicious! The Bartender is wonderful! The music is always good. The atmosphere is upbeat rustic. They have a reasonable happy hour to boast about! And ..a delicious cheesecake!
The food was absolutely amazing!! I really enjoyed the seafood fried rice and the shrimp in garlic sauce. I also tried the Dungeness crabs in Island sauce (not pictured) and it was okay. The service was also great! We were seated very quickly and I like that they’re open late!
My favorite sea food place in north Jersey! Lobster roll is very delicious??drinks are strong! Me and my husband always come here to get some drinks and food. Manager is very professional. I’m always happy with the service here.
