After enjoying a fantastic Sunday lunch cruise on the Calypso Queen, my husband and I stopped by Crabby's Bar, conveniently located directly opposite the cruise ship. The cruise was wonderful, with great music, a knowledgeable and humorous captain, friendly crew members, and a lunch buffet that catered to vegans and gluten-free diners like myself. We had a great time on the tour, surrounded by other visitors on holiday. However, after the cruise, my husband had parked far away and I found myself waiting outside the Calypso Queen in the hot and humid weather, feeling thirsty. We stopped by this restaurant for lunch one day during our week-long stay in Clearwater Beach. We started with a crab cake appetizer. I enjoyed 1 1/2 pounds of crab legs with fresh vegetables and fries, accompanied by a Corona Light. My husband ordered the grilled salmon with fresh veggies and potatoes. Our child had chicken tenders, fries, and water. The total bill came to about $135 before tip. The crab legs were delicious and my husband really enjoyed his salmon. The sides were decent but the crab cake was just average. The beer was cold and the view was nice. The service was satisfactory. Overall, our experience was good, although it didn't exceed our expectations.
we have made deep-sea fishing and brought our fish here to be cooked. we had a mixture of grilled and smoked fish. they brought us a lot of pommes and coleslaw to boot. everything was delicious and our waitress was super friendly. she gave us enough to eat another meal. our fish were a full blow, with a beer was not as bad as we thought it was. the only thing I would change would be that they would tell them how many pounds they have prior to cooking it, so they have an idea of their queue.
The food was great! The view from the 3rd floor was beautiful! Our waitress was awesome! BUT... no one told use about the parking!!! You have to get a code from the restaurant if you are there for a bit of time! Not one mention of it! Of course we were there for over 30 minutes, got a ticket! Super sweet place on the beach to eat seafood. The food came fast and was delicious and filled. Adult drinks seemed a bit weak, but I could be. Our waitress was not super friendly and had to be found a few times, but she did not take away from the views or the food or experience. Would definitely go back as we at the top level (3) and was able to get some great sunset views.
Went here for lunch and sat on the third floor. I ate gator bites, stuffed flounder with crab cake, coconut rice, and sweet potato fries along with a key lime coconut frozen drink. Absolutely delicious and great service! Our waiter was Bobby and he was awesome! Next time I visit Clearwater I'll definitely come here again!
Ate at the first floor bar and everything was amazing, bartender, food, service, even the owner (I'm assuming) stopped and checked on my food multiple times. Drinks were tasty Appetizers were great. Seafood was amazing fresh and tasty. Steak was one of the best I've ever had. Dessert was great $191 bill plus a $40 tip.
The meal was enjoyable. The steamed shrimp was the highlight, and the alligator bites were also tasty. The kids enjoyed their food as well. good lunch. beautiful to be right at the marina. they will overdress when they wear more than shorts and a T-shirt! waitresses are friendly and can be on a good wise sassy! I enjoy a relaxed lunch and a cold drink with friends, especially during a day on the water.
