The food was not as good as we’ve had here before. My husband got the Chicken Dumplins’ and barely had half a bowl-ful. Even though it was the lunch-size portion he’s always had a full bowl. I had the turkey lunch special and was not impressed. The turkey was good, but I didn’t like the flour lumps in the gravy. There was barely a teaspoon of gravy on my mashed potatoes so I asked for extra and was brought a tiny dish with maybe two teaspoons in it. The dressing was just plain awful … very dry … no amount of gravy was going to save it. And cranberry relish served in a tiny condiment cup … geez! My husband and I went with another couple in the afternoon. We started with the Hash-Brown Tarts, which were delicious - hot and fresh. I ordered the sampler with blueberry pancakes, which were the highlight of my meal. My husband and his friend ordered the Southern fried chicken with Russian greens, which had smoked turkey in them and were delicious. The fried chicken was fresh, crispy, and well seasoned. Our friend ordered the fried shrimp with hush puppies, and the shrimp were seasoned and cooked perfectly - my favorite part of the meal. Overall, the food was great and the staff was excellent. The manager even came to our table and was very pleasant.

I love this place. There's always a nice atmosphere and a cute shop, and the food is good. Plus, they have the best price for warmies. We went once when it was quite busy and they got us a table quickly. This is a great place to go eat as a family.

The staff is consistently helpful and friendly. The food was served warm and tasted wonderful. We frequently visit Cracker Barrel and have gotten to know some of the employees. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting!
