I first came here because they do pour overs. Now it’s a large part of why I keep coming back. ARI the barista on a few of my visits is exceptional. Her process for the pour overs gets the most flavor out of the beans, and produces a smooth, easy drinking, flavorful cup every time. It’s easy to mess up a pour over, and that keeps me from going back to a place. I just got back from a trip through Europe where I had a few pour overs in Germany, Poland, and Czech. I was so upset that I went out of my way and raced there to make it in time before they closed to get there with 20 min left until closing, for them to tell me the kitchen was closed. I'm raw vegan and I was downtown. I could've went to Rolling Oats and got something there but I remembered I had tried a salad there that, after removing some items like crostini and tofu, I could eat. I couldn't believe they literally couldn't make me a plate of lettuce with TWENTY MINUTES left until close!! That is NOT how to operate a business. The Hispanic woman taking orders in the front was a very unkind and unpleasant worker. She should not be in customer service if she does not like working with people. I came in with a group of friends on vacation and she was very rude every question we asked. I ordered an iced chai tea and didn’t like it. It came out luke warm with 2 ice cubes and lacked flavor. I asked if I could get a basic iced tea instead and her response was “these are all loose leaf teas and this is not a Starbucks so that’s probably why you don’t like it”. Sorry to say this food was inedible. I really wanted to like the place because the servers are very kind and good hard workers. But the food is even worse than plane food. Do not order the sandwiches!! They’re so rubbery it’s like eating a shoe. Bread was not even like bread, it must’ve not been fresh, it was just such a strange texture. The desserts were alright, so were the drinks. But I wouldn’t get something savory. Couldn’t take more than two bites. I should’ve taken heed when the table before us left all their sandwiches as well

Before this was one of my favorite places. Today i came in and ordered breakfast and coffee. The potatoes were sour , they were old. They were cooked days ago. Coffee was terrible. Emily was really nice and agreed that the food wasn’t good. She also returned the money for what i ordered and I really appreciate it.
We ordered 2 cappuccinos and I thought it tasted a bit stronger than what I’m used to. I went up to the counter and the owner graciously made us 2 new cappuccinos. This spot has excellent customer service, the owner cares about his customers and the cafe is clean and aesthetic. We will be back!! Thank you again
We tried this place on vacation. I have a gluten intolerance and miss pancakes and baked goods. I had delicious pancakes and a cinnamon roll. Food was great. I did ask for a hot chai and they made it iced instead. Other than that, excellent!
I am gluten free, so a colleague invited me to have a meeting at this location. All food is gluten free. Coffee was great too. I had a mocha hot coffee. Place Qasim perfect for earing, drinking coffer and talking

Mostly everything is made in house. But small portions and a little pricey.
