We visited this restaurant for dinner on our last night in Florida, hoping to find a fantastic seafood place to compensate for an unsatisfactory birthday dinner my boyfriend had at another location the night before. This restaurant truly exceeded our expectations! We loved every aspect of our experience. The gentleman who seated us was very welcoming, and our waitress, Christy, was an absolute treasure! She was kind, approachable, answered all my questions, and performed her duties flawlessly. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect evening. The food was delicious, the cheesecake was delightful, and the drinks were excellent. If we return to Florida for a few more days, we will definitely...
The highlight of my experience was definitely the crab cakes, which were excellent. The Mix 'em seasoning was just okay; it didn’t seem to blend well with the food, and I felt like a little butter would have helped to tie the flavors together. While I haven't tried other dishes yet, the issues with the portions and the cooking of the food make me hesitant to return for anything else. I’ve heard that the Crafty Crab in Homestead will open soon, but honestly, the only reason I would go there again is for the crab cakes. I’d much rather go to Krabz King in Florida City instead. Their seasoning and portion sizes are far better.
I just had dinner at Crafty Crab, and it’s one of our favorite spots for date night! We absolutely love the atmosphere, the food, and the drinks! We've been coming to this location regularly for the past year and a half, and we always request the same waitress, LILY. She is outstanding! She takes our orders promptly, serves the food quickly, consistently offers drink refills, and has a fantastic attitude! LILY is very attentive and always has a smile on her face. If you visit Crafty Crab, be sure to ask for LILY—you won’t be disappointed!
The food was lacking in flavor and didn’t taste very good at all. The server was extremely slow, and when I asked the manager and other staff members for assistance, they refused to help. When I approached another employee to see if he could lend a hand to his coworker, he outright said no. I really enjoyed the decor and atmosphere of the restaurant, and the service from Shay was excellent. However, I was disappointed with the crab cakes; they were overly breaded, which is why I deducted one star. I had the combo with crab and shrimp, and that was really good. The cheesecake was also tasty. I plan to return in the near future.
I ordered the Crab Fan Special in Cajun, Mild, and I found the seafood to be very fresh. However, the flavor was a bit too overpowering, masking the natural taste of the seafood. The decor was intriguing, and the service was outstanding.
the food here is usually way better... especially since the place was empty.. the food should have been tastier. the staff did a great job as always. but the food. i threw out the leftovers. that is how bad it was.
