Service non-existent. No smile to anyone. People who arrived after us got served before us. We even got the slammed down glass when the so-called waitress cleared away the plates and my wife had shockingly placed her empty glass on her plate. We have been in France for 15 days. The restaurants and cafes we have visited have all been at least good and the service has been great - and always with a smile.The crepes when they arrived were OK but the fillings were some form of savoury stodge purporting to be mushroom in cream sauce and fruits de la mer.A theory - this places is so bad that people will, if they return to the Torche, always go to the Rayon Verts next door - which is closed on Mond...
Visited for lunch during a day on the beach. Limited options for food so we ended up here. We sat inside, which I am now glad about as I realise they would have charged us 10% extra to sit outside. We choose from the menu only to be told "NO" when we tried to order. Of the varied menu we were only allowed to order crepes . The crepes when they arrived were average, served without even a hint of a smile and at different times.Prices were expensive, service awful and I didn't dare venture to the toilets! A place to be avoided.
I was presented with a semi burnt brown parcel with some off mackerel inside. No side salad, nothing else. My fiancée had a similar thing with half a sausage and some egg inside it. I sent mine back. When the bill came we were charged €40!!!!! When I asked whether he was serious he asked whether I wanted ketchup with it, like I was unrefined or something. This is my first ever TripAdvisor. Don't ever eat here. The one star is for the nice waitress......
We arrived, a party of four, for lunch. Due to massive surf, the beach at La Torche was packed. Therefore, we were surprised that the cafe was so quite, that should have been our warning! We ordered our food, the waitress just looked at us and said 'no'! No explanation, just no! She showed us the page with crepes on, indicating that this was all we could have. We visited this crêperie the staff was very nice to us and the crêpes were delicious and I am born in the area :) the special cider from Fouesnant was excellent and very dry only the price €68.00 for 2 is doubled than the price of a crêperie we visited in Pont Aven for the same stuff. We will anyway go back and the walk after on the beach was exceptionally sunny.
Good crepes, lovely in the summer didn't go this time but we enjoyed it in the fall and summer. If you like crepes bretonnes which is the specialty of the area you're sure to like this restaurant. It's one of the better places for crepes. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
we had 4 crepes and two salads. the baguette has burned freeze cabinet, which is a little embarrassing for a French restaurant / creperie. the egg in one of the crepes was completely liquid. the champignon cream crepe was delicious tho.
