We happened upon this place after wandering around Lisieux and not finding anywhere particularly enticing. Never having tried galetts before we thought we'd give it a go and boy are we glad we did! The owner was very welcoming and friendly and explained the different dishes (and the fact that he's worked in hospitality in England for some years). The place was packed with locals always a pretty good sign. The food was came quickly, was beautifuly presented, plentiful, absolutely delicious and very well priced at around 10 12 Euros, with plenty of choices to choose form including daily specials and a strong focus on using organic ingredients. On our way to visiting the Basilica we wanted to stop and have a light lunch. The restaurant was busy but there were tables free and a couple were leaving as we walked in the door. We patiently waited for the proprietor to take payment from another couple and then politely requested a table for two (en Français). All he could utter was pas de place and continued to serve other diners. There was a group of three potential diners behind us and they did not appear to have a problem getting a table. I can safely say I have never had a more inhospitable welcome.
Excellente adresse ! Des galettes de qualité, préparées avec des produits locaux. Des recettes originales et des classiques qu’on aime à retrouver comme la crêpe Suzette. Quant au service, c’est un plaisir d’échanger avec le patron et d’avoir une serveuse si attentionnée. Ne changez rien, c’est parfait ainsi !
We were warmly welcomed by the owner of this creperie who talked to us in English when we struggled with our French. He made excellent suggestions as to the food and drink we had and we ended up having a wonderfully tasty meal washed down with local cider.
We were incredibly grateful to find this restaurant after visiting the Basilica. The crepes were the best we had throughout our trip in France, and the staff was very pleasant. Cozy, cute interiors. I wish I could eat here regularly.
beautiful evening in this beautiful crêperie. excellent value quality price. regional pancakes are delicious. everything is made home with local products. The boss is a little shy, don't hesitate to talk to him.
The salted pancakes are very good and you have a lot of different ingredients to go with! The owner is very talkative but super simplistic! It's close to the beautiful church!
lovely meal, just got to be done! We all (four) of us had different crepes, all very good and the children ate things that they would not usualy have chosen! I recommend it!
La cuisine est bonne. J'ai commencé par une salade de gésiers une galette et une crêpe au chocolat. Accueil est très bien le cadre aussi.
