Cristaudo 's has always been one of my favorite restaurants, even when it was on the West side of town. In middle school, I used to ride my bike to the Life Community Center and swim, then ride to Cristaudo 's and get sandwiches and treats with my friends after. I was so happy when they opened in the middle of town and I loved going to music events there, getting presents in the gift shop area, and eating their quiche and baklava. And I have always thought they had the best cake decorating game in the area. The past few times I have gone in have been sour, though. Amazing place ! It was my first visit and I couldn’t have asked for better customer service . I have alpha gal and can not consume mammal products . The staff was understanding and helped me receive the best vegan food I’ve ever had . I will be a regular at this place ! Beautiful environment , vibe and people .
Cristaudo's is a great treasure in Carbondale. Has live music on occasion. I went and it was a very energetic atmosphere. Has amazing food and coffee. Has somewhat limited seating, for it being a smaller establishment. It was packed with people inside, and others waiting out the door! Also has a gift shop.
The. Bread. Is. Amazing!! We had King Cake french toast and an egg sandwich. These are two very different styles of food and both were exceptional. They are even affordable! The baked treats here are always tasty. I'm a big fan of their doughnuts, canolis, and macarons. The iced chai latte I ordered today was pretty mid, but service is good and the local art they sell is lovely. They're involved with the community and are a very nice bakery.
As soon as my partner and I walked right in we loved how it looks! The atmosphere is comfy and welcoming. The employees are incredibly kind and helpful. The food is well made and incredible in taste. We'll definitely be coming back again!
Catered a huge event for our student group at SIU. The food was great and portions were large! They were very friendly and accommodating. They literally have the best desserts in town. :

We ordered a cake for a special occasion and it was perfect. Butterfluff icing was amazing! Texture and taste of cake and icing were delicious!
