The atmosphere in the pub was really good, we was very impressed with the social distancing and sanitisers service were in all the right areas. My son and I ordered calamari for starter and steak and ale pie, both dishes were delicious. My husband ordered...prawn cocktail and Sunday roast, the beef was so tender he loved both dishes too. The manager that served us was polite and friendly she made sure she looked after my husband as he forgot to say about he’s nut allergy. All staff were professional and working very hard with the christening and people sitting outside and inside the pub. We hadn't booked a table, but the manager was very kind and said we could come back in minutes and she would try and accommodate us. We weren't let down, and upon our return a table was provided for us which we were very...grateful for, especially our daughter, as she was able to play on the kids apparatus while we ordered our food. The service was excellent and so was the food. It was lovely to be able to sit in the Crocodile's beautiful garden with the sun shining on our faces. We'll definitely be booking a table in future to ensure we get in, as we'll be returning to the Crocodile very soon.
We have been regular customers at this restaurant for years, and in the past, the service has been very good. However, we recently encountered a new staff member named Dante who was extremely rude and lacked basic customer service skills. Due to his disrespectful behavior, such as clicking his fingers at customers to lead them to their table, we have chosen to dine elsewhere. Dante's unprofessional and rude attitude has driven us away from this establishment.
Overall very good. Both myself and my son ordered the lasagne which was excellent. Only slight issue was with the service in that the orders were not taken correctly and we felt that the guy serving us was either slightly inexperienced or just very nervous...but hopefully his confidence will improve with time if he is new to the role. I just wanted to express my gratitude for our wonderful visit to the restaurant. The bar staff, Michael and Lesley, were very welcoming, polite, and helpful. The food was delicious, and we had a fantastic afternoon. Thank you for providing such great service - you are a credit to your company. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Meal up to great standard, very impressed with the social distancing in place=, plenty of sanatiser and place is very clean. Menu although reduced gave plenty of choice for all and cooked to a high standard. Service was great and all staff very friendly. First...meal out since lockdown and felt very safe
Prebooked and visited midweek for lunch. Food good and service excellent with friendly staff, who work so hard having to take outside orders ,collecting from inside and back to the tables. Will definitely return.

I ordered the lasagna as my main dish and it was one of the best I've ever had. The side salad was also very fresh. I always return to this restaurant because the service is consistently outstanding.
