Hotel restaurants are sometimes mediocre but sometimes really good. The Crossroads caught my attention as I exited the Highway and saw the roadside sign advertising Friday Prime Rib....unfortunately it was Monday....but we tried it anyway. The place is clean and tables well spaced for COVID...reasons. We both ordered Fish (fresh cut) Chips. The Haddock was excellent as were the chips. The batter was just right....and as a Brit I think I have some experience with the meal. The menu is currently limited due to pandemic restraints on maximum seating making kitchen staff limited. Apparently, Management is constantly looking at reintroducing more favourite items as business warrants. The server,...
My group of four arrived at the at restaurant at with reservations. It took minutes to receive our drinks. minutes after that to be able to place our order with the one waitress that was covering the entire restaurant. A table was...served before us that ordered well after us. We waited two hours for our food and were then told that the meal I ordered was not longer available (out of the prime rib). We left at this point. While we were waiting we saw couples leave, after minutes, because no one came to take their drink orders. There were also line ups at the register to pay because there were numerous issues with bills being incorrect.
First off server does not know menu. Then when you get the bill be surprised. My wife had the prime rib special time more than umm delicious. Sent it bad to get a one like blue rare not even close to medium....I had potato crusted pickerel with really blackened potato sticks encrusted on it. Yummy gross garbage. Then the kids had meals that sucked. No drinks included or fun dessert but plain that sucked. Daughter wanted a pepperoni pizza but they had no pepperoni. They put olives on it with the pits included. Yummy yummy. Don't waste your time here go elsewhere.
The prime rib is very, very good. Enough food on your plate that you don't need to have seconds!! Only problem is that the sign on the lot in fron of the restaurant (hotel entrance) promotes the Prime Rib dinner, s you park your car...and enter the building only to be told that the restaurant doesn't open till pm! The sign doesn't state that the time is pm, so, be aware not to show up sooner as you will not get in. If you do show up after opening time, and order the prime rib, you will not be disappointed. I stopped in for dinner tonight while my husband was at a wedding rehearsal. I wasn’t sure what to expect at all. But let me tell you it was an outstanding experience. Our waiter was so great and prompt. He had a wonderful performance and...was very kind to my son. I got the bacon Alfredo tortellini and holy moly. It was spectacular!!! So creamy and garlicky. Highly recommend this dish!!!
Ate at this restaurant while staying at the Quality Inn. The service was outstanding, very friendly and engaging. One night I has Sheppards Pie and I have to say it was excellent. The breakfast bar was well stocked as well. Very friendly people. The price...point was very reasonable. I would strongly recommend this restaurant.
We walked across from our hotel to this restaurant. After a long day on the road we were happy it was close. The drinks were good and the food was average. The service was outstanding. We had a very fun and entertaining young man waiting...on us; unfortunately he said he was just temporary. He made our visit!
The former restaurant menu was quite a bit better. The daily soups were great and the old coffee machine was also much better as I had been here many a number of occasions for training at the adjoining hotel. Stayed at the Quality Inn and decided to have supper at the Crossroads Restaurant. The special on Fridays and Saturdays is prime rib dinner. The meat was so tender and flavourful it melted in your mouth. My hats off to the chef. Dinner was amazing!
