Stayed in the village for a week in May 2021, upon the lifting of covid restrictions. Delighted to find vegan options on their menu, we stepped in and were instructed to take a seat. We ordered two Moving Mountains Vegan Burgers 13 each) and a couple of beers. The burgers were hands-down the worst vegan burgers Ive ever had, at a price comparable to the most expensive. If youd have told me theyd be left out on the side for a day before serving, I would have believed you. When I mentioned to the wait staff that our meal wasnt good and that the burgers were dry, I was met with an apathetic sorry about that as they gleefully took my payment. I didn't expect to find much in the way of vegan food in Coniston so I was amazed to find this place, which actually had more than one main option for vegans! We went twice and I had the delicious Moving Mountains burger both times, but on the seasonal menu there was also the option of Thai green vegetable curry for a main and the option of a pizza with vegan cheese. A little on the expensive side but I left stuffed both times and it was so great to find somewhere accommodating in such a small place. Updated from previous review on 2019-09-13
We stopped by for a glass of wine and were impressed by the excellent service from the young bartender. The restaurant is very dog-friendly and customer-focused. If we lived closer, we would definitely frequent this place more often.
Asked for the vegan pizza, they had to check and didn't have any, but we do have gluten free, couldn't guarantee it was vegan, left and went to the bluebird cafe and had a wonderful vegan cauliflower pie instead.

We stopped by for a drink after parking for free in a nearby side street before heading to Coniston Lake. The Inn appeared very welcoming, with its large and spacious interior full of charm and history.
there was only one cook. it was a very busy night in juli and we had a very, very long wait, but certainly worth it. amazing, tasty and the chef certainly went out of his way to take care of us.
in a city without many vegan options they offered two netzens. a falafel burger and mushroom risotto I think. there is a good choice beer, but not sure which are vegan. was busy on Saturday
very nice personal, but underwhelming vegan option (a burger.) would not recommend as a target, but if they don't have any other options at least they do some vegan dinge!

good pub, pretty busy. vegan burgers were not the best I ever had, but good for a small place with not much choice. the pizzas looked good and they had vegan cheese!
Travelled to here based on menu and found out they didn't have their vegan option in stock. Don't bother, not very well equipped for vegans.
