We were looking for somewhere for an evening meal away from the Champs Elysses, and eventually found the Au XV, which was convenient as it had just started to rain.Au XV is a sports type brasserie bar, the walls are decorated with rugby and football memorabilia. The place was busy but we soon realised why, it was the night the French Football Cup Final was being played between Paris St Germain and Marseilles, and the dining area we were in had a large tv. so everyone was ready to watch the match.We ordered pre meal drinks, for our meal I ordered a medium rare entrecote steak with fries, my wife and our friend ordered pizzas. The steak was perfection, but unfortunately the pizzas were edible...
Seeing the absurd prices of the fields-elysed, we went to the alleys, where we found this restaurant. at lunch the place was full, we had the chance to find one of the last tables. the restaurant is sporty, in tame light and very welcoming. There were few tourists and the rest of the clientele were Parisian workers, which suggests that food is good, and that is indeed the case. the menu of the day included excellent offers such as the honey stock. price 75 € for 3 people with 2 courses for each.
